footy cliche's......another one ?

Postby bayman » Sun Jul 12, 2009 8:29 pm

we all know the standard cliche's in football, however i've heard (as we all have) the comment ''going/moving forward'' can this be added as the newest cliche in football & i'll take your answers 1 answer at a time  ;)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

It's been changed to "Show us your pre-Crows & Power premierships".

I'm guessing any flags won/to be won after 96 mean nothing to you blokes ;)

Actually for me, and this is a personal thing, any premiership won after 91 by my club (the PAFC 91 - 96, and the PAMFC from then on), hasn't felt like the ones pre 91, so therefore premierships won by other clubs after 1990 i don't give the same amount of credence to.

I'm not trying to convince people to think the same thing, this is merely my feelings on the matter. I've seen you post on Big Footy about this topic DW, and respect your right to have a different opinion on the matter.

For me, the SANFL has always been my number one passion and always will be - even if Centrals as a current powerbreaker, don't win a flag for 13 years and then don't win another one for 12 or more years (just as an example ;) )
Everyone's allowed their opinion mate, I have never said that they're not.
It's just some people, not saying you, who masquerade bitterness, for whatever reason, as their opinion.
Out of curiosity, what did I write on BF regarding this? I honestly can't recall.

And the most significant comment was.. ;)
Big and better things like 20K home game crowds.
I do tend to agree that SANFL premiership teams of the Pre-AFL days, or early Post AFL days, would slaughter the Centrals teams, or any other premiers, in the SANFL since.

Psyber, seriously, anyone that thinks ANY SANFL team could beat an AFL side is kidding themselves.
Anyway, let's not derail this topic on cliches with this debate.
