West Indies players threaten boycott
West Indies' home series against Bangladesh, due to begin on Thursday with the first Test, has been thrown into chaos following a boycott announced by the West Indies Players' Association (WIPA). A statement from WIPA president Dinanath Ramnarine said the players would boycott the series "with immediate effect" because of a long-running contractual dispute with the home board

Negotiations to end the current impasse surrounding player contracts have failed after the West Indies Players' Association (WIPA) refused a call by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to end its members' boycott of the first Test against Bangladesh The representatives of the two parties met in Port of Spain this morning, but the meeting lasted only 23 minutes

With the rise of Bangladesh as a Test nation not to be reckoned with, perhaps all those wickets that Murali took against them establish more validity? :) ;)
