I was at the Tanunda / Willaston game today and I must say Willaston looked pretty ordinary. The score board was flattering in the end. Tanunda to win the flag in a canter. What about Tanunda B Grade - this mob thought they had the GF won already but got a wake up call today. Bad luck boys!!
South OK for a while but then a second half belting - did anyone see it?

Also at the game that was played in shocking conditions, I thought both sides where fairly ordinary in ordinary conditions. That turf wicket has stuffed up the Tanunda oval when it gets wet, would like to know from other clubs how their oval is holding up.
As far as the B grade go, once again you wrong about them, they know that the better side this year is Nuri and they will take some beating. One of the B graders got married on the weekend which also upset the things a little but good sides have to cope with that and they are not as good as last season.
As far as populations goes for clubs I think you will find that the Gawler clubs have a far bigger poulation per club (aprox 6,300). Tanunda is about 4,000 while Nuri is a little more than Tan, Ango is about 3,000 but the Barossa clubs do have a reasonable population not living directly in the towns. All clubs in both Gawler & the Barossa also compete against other codes so I would think the ledger is fairly square. The clubs that are at a disadvantage are both Freeling and Kapunda.

With Willaston having a tough game this week against the Nuri Tigers the four may just be set.... If the Donnybrooks go down, that will leave them 2 games behind 4th placed Centrals after both having played 11 games, but with the Tigers having a huge % gap worth just about another game. Ango could go as high as 2nd or drop to fourth, alot will depend on their clash with Centrals in a few weeks. Barossa look shot, however a win this week will put them in exactly the same spot as Willaston.
But from here I cant see the 4 changing, just perhaps their order... I dont think Centrals can grab top 2 uless Nuri hit a stumbling block of sorts... So as a a forecast I think 1st Semi Ango vs Centrals, 2nd Semi Tanunda vs Nuri....

Also heard the South rumor Sat night at the Southern. I heard a bit of push & shove with a fair bit of abuse. South people should should prepare for a implosion!! Most premierships YES but most sucessful NO

Blue Sky Gawlers Popn at the last census (2006) was 18,912, a fair bit of difference between 6,300. Still waiting for your factual list on Tanunda's 95% of paid players.

3x6,300=18,900
Maybe the figure Blue Sky saw was the population per club and mistook it for the total figure.
I reckon the hardest bit in naming the 95% of players paid at Tanunda would be deciding which 5% to leave out!
