He asked Punter whether he caught it or not, Punter said yes and he said thats good enough for me and off he trudged.

Nothing wrong with that ... in fact it is the way it should be done.

This might be unfair, but does anyone get the feeling that with Freddy it's more about Freddy than England?

He's still not in KP's league though.

Interesting you should say that never ending gism.
Nasser Hussain said yesterday that he would open the bowling with Freddy at the beginning of every session to get the crowd involved.
Sort of suggests exactly what you said.
Says a lot about Nassers captaincy as well.
The guy was hopeless yet feels free to get stuck into other captains tactics.

Johnson CAN bowl quick, but in this match, and on this pitch, he's a medium quick. Nobody has bowled quick in this Test.

can i ask what quick is then. 90mph is quick to me.

You honestly believe he's bowled anywhere near top pace in this Test?

Ironic they should show Hemmings. I still remember him batting on in Sydney 1983, playing out a draw in a Test Australia should have won. It could happen again today.

Only reason I said it is that he seems to celebrate a wicket as a bowler as if he's an individual star - which he is, but it just doesn't strike me as having much "team" about it.

No but i still think he has been quick just not at his quickest. At his best i think he averages 90-94 mph. He is probably around 86-90 in this test.

The bloke belongs under a St Bernards chin but he made 95 as a night watchman IIRC and I reckon it may of been a rough dismissal.
