I was disappointed with the lack of facilities on the outer side. No toilet, no canteen and I had to cut a hole in the advertising just to see the game.

ME and Micky I agree, I won't be going next week, we all can't go every week and I don't blame supporters that drop off when things are crap year after year, it's disapointing but inevitable. I'm sure CD and the rest of the WWT club scratch their heads year after year wondering why there are so few members and supporters for a team that delivers good performances on a regular basis. I would be surprised if there was one person from either club who expected the outcome at Unley yesterday, I certainly didn't.

There's a toilet, BBQ and drinks stall all at the NTHN end, not too far from the eastern outer. The setup and facilities at Unley are not ideal and something the club probably isn't entirely happy with but thay are hamstrung to a degree. I'm not speaking for the club, just my personal opinion.

As you know I have a very good reason for why I can't go. Next week is an example as the u18s are at Woodville at 11.15 am while the league will be at Elizabeth Oval and by the time I get there the game would be all but half over and it would be time to come home again. Plus as a member I would like to get to more games, but it would be impossible.

And the steps make it damn hard for us waiting operations on the public health system  hell stuff that I'm just awkward ;)

I think sturt should look at one end of the ground the bowling club(I think its a bowling club) end .Ball gets kicked out of the ground game stops for about 5 minutes a time waiting for the ball to come back .If nothing can be done at least have a box with footballs in it .Plus that end needs fencing the gutter or what appears to be a gutter seems dangerous for the footballers .What would happen if an injured player due to the drain sued the unley council OHS letters come to mind.

I think he meant that he didn't actually enter the ground but sat in the 'outer' on the Eastern side which isn't part of the actual ground. Hence the comment 'he had to cut a hole in the advertising to see in'.

I'll take our 36/37 wins to your 14 since 1991 anyday. Make the most of your run as it will end but at the moment you have our measure agreed. Why don't you follow the lead of your Sturt mate and use correct team names. Skurt, Strut, handbaggers etc will continue to be trotted out till you do.

Who cares who started it. It probably won't change anything anyway to say stop it. Just get a laugh out of it or ignore it.
I don't think us talking about teams being our bitches is worth it until we aren't anyone's bitches, re Glenelg (and North to an extent) atm.

I was down at shithouse brothers oval on Saturday and I saw plenty of gold, green and blue in the crowd - making plenty of noise too on those rare occasions the League side gave them something to cheer about. Maybe some don't like making the trek east - having to put up with some of the moronic element of Unley.

Yep many of the stand dwellers left a lot to be desired .

There was one sturt goal that every one was yelling about all cheering its a goal .the only one who didnt know it was a goal was the umpire .He had to ask the boundary umpire before he signalled a goal.
Mean while the stand dewellers sitting on the wrong side of the goal umpire celebrated for a full minute before a decision was made.

And the old lady trying to blow a horn pitty she couldnt do it.

But the best memory was the row of fans almost lifting the roof off the Grand stand when the seconds kicked their last goal making them lose by 15 or 16 goals .You would have thought they'd just won the grand final .

Sook! Almost all of your supporters have taken the loss well. We were just talking about showing eachother respect and along comes you.
I would give you about 250 supporters at the ground yesterday. Sturt side of the coin was dissapointing too.
But to say it's because your supporters don't want to travel up to Unley..... what excuse do you have for being outnumbered on your home turf by about 3 to 1 earlier in the year.
Talking about moronic supporters, how's the form of your cheer squad calling Chambers a Paedophile. Now that's moronic and they're lucky to walk out of the ground with their head still connected to their neck. They may not have in previous seasons but our cheer squad don't bother with that crap anymore. Idiots like that will get found out in other parts of their life.

Um it's a trek south EHL, if you went east you'd end up at the parade and you'd have another bunch of morons you could blend in with. If you don't like Unley then don't come, we'd be none the wiser. ;)

You have to give praise to the Sturt players on a superior performance to us. Thought second quarter was going to tell the story at quarter time - didnt think we were out of it at that stage.

We won the second half by a few points on the scoreboard but Sturt's back up for each other and great skills at passing to a player with space set the standard which we didnt come up to.

Col D

With the weather TV and Crows game that night the crowd was to be expected overall and we did have our diehards in numbers as usual.

Just added pics of the match on saturday to the Sturt Cheer Squad website. Make sure you click on page 2 once you reach the bottom of the page from this link http://www.sturtcheersquad.com/apps/pho ... id=6512110 so you don't miss any shots.
Will be a few pics that will interest WWT supporters also.
Enjoy!

Mate - I'm not sooking we were beaten by a better side on the day. I was just stating that a lot of your supporters leave a lot to be desired. The Eagles cheersquad aren't the brightest bunch of folk but I find it highly unlikely they would call Chambo a paedophile. As for the Sturt cheersquad they are a rabble - some might say an embarrasment to your club. As for Unley itself I do not personaly have a problem with the oval I willl continue going back there for as long as Sturt continue playing there. Where Eagles supporters may lack in numbers we don't lack in heart or voice and I felt the supporters we did have there had plenty of voice.

If there's one positive sign to take out of the game from an Eagles perspective - we were a 2 goal better side than the first game at Woodville earlier in the year.
