As i have said before there are no two players we would swap the Gowans boys for and maybe if your team had players that played with passion you would have made more grand finals than the one this decade.Instead you have all these outside players who dont know how to win the hard ball which is required in finals which is also why Glenelg have your measure now as they are producing those quality's in there game style.
This is why it will probably be a repeat GF from last year because when the pressure is on you will choke.

Well done to West they deserved the win and hopefully this result will liven up the competition and it is probably the kick up the backside our team needs.

The Sturt and Eagles arse kicking's didn't help you guys alot, so why would this one. And I reckon right now your coach would be happy to swap the Gowans for two Sturt players of his choice, fortunately for your mob, to quote [your opinion isn't a valued one at Elizabeth.]

Kym said that J.Gowans got hit by friendly fire and then threw the ball at his team mate giving a free kick to West which turned into a goal, with Gowans getting plenty from the crowd on the way off wanting to go on with it with someone in the crowd.

True

Amazingly quiet here by some that give a lengthy summary of the game. But they will be on having a go at that comment . Cant believe Bayman reckons the Bays are third favourite for the flag yet are a couple of games clear ON TOP of the ladder. Oh the pressure . Well done West on agreat victory. But once again one of the sore losers raises their heads. I will make this clear , the Gowans have been terrfic footballers over the years and some will come back waving Jack Oatey medals and premiership medals back. But they are nothing but sore losers who cannot handle losing. They have cheap shots when blokes arent looking , scratch in packs , knees in backs and the list goes on. Everyone knows it and has seen it yet the geberal footy public call them tough. ? I think the other clubs have woken up to this and let them go which means they start on their own teammates.Lets hope they go on next year cos its getting to be fun. I heard a ball was thrown forcefully at an umpire can anyone back that up ?

Anyway great win West.

I thought that the match was like when we played Norwood earlier in the year. We started slowly and we worked our back into the game. Except we won in the last 5 seconds against Norwood but today had it in the bag with about 2 mins to go.

Lobbe has been a handy since comming to club.

Fantastic effort.

Nice to have 2 talls up Forward

GO YOU BLOODS

go and say to the gowans that they hit guys who arent looking and ill see ya in a few weeks posting.thats just rubbish talk.yep they test the boundries , but 1 thing u cant argue with is they are passionate about their footy.they aint the most gifted players but what they lack there ,they make up for in desire .the only thing the other clubs would be woken up to is they are getting older(thank christ) and wont be here forever. i have given(as a lot of supporters surely have) them curry whilst playing them but those boys continue to serve vindaloo back in spades. those 2 have given the SANFL an abundance of memories for not only CDFC supporters but the whole SANFL supporter base. these 2 boys will be forever remembered whilst im alive, mostly because i hate them ;) but also because they are a very big part of a dynasty that the other 8 clubs could only dream about .
there isnt a lot of players talked about 50 years after they finish, but guaranteed the gowans boys will be.

Geez... toss the toys out of the pram time here... a couple of supporters say one thing about the Gowans and its like someone spat in your Mum's face or something... relax dude... obviously that one time you met us in the grannie, where you bent over and took it hard cuts deep... no matter how much crap you spin like the above, you'll never get that one back.
