That will either get you in, or remind him of someone who did that in 202BC (and which "Peoples Front" they played for most likely ;) )

Flintoff looks unfit - I haven't seen anyone shuffle like that since Cliff Young.

As far as his backside goes, it looks like two wombats fighting underneath a blanket.

Surely Harmison will come into the side for either Freddie or Broad? Is Sidebottom injured or just ordinary?

Like I have said, Broad has never bowled well. Cant group six balls together, makes the batsmen play two balls a over that usually get dealt with. I think they like the fact he can bat a bit, but surely Onions or Harmy will come in at Lords.

They wouldn't drop Flintoff. Even half fit he's still their best bowler.

Very spoilt. And all a lot of people wanted to do was whinge about his behaviour .... I watched his cricket instead.

This is the first time I've seen Broad bowl, and from what I've seen you are dead right. If that's as good as he can bowl, he'd struggle to pick up regular poles in Sheffield Shield cricket. He must be one helluva bat if that's what he's getting picked for. Personally, I'd rather bowl teams out than try to outscore them.

Not exactly urgent cricket being played right at the moment. Aussie batsmen consolidating, and the Poms taking an eternity between overs to set their fields.

Ian Botham is asking why no spinner has been bowled this morning.

Two reasons Ian:
1. The spinners have bowled even more pies than the pacemen
2. England are just going through the motions, trying to use up as much time as they can before the rain comes.

This really is uninspiring cricket. The crowd are more entertained by the stupid trumpet player.

You can see why people not wedded to test cricket are flocking to T20 ... unfortunately.

Yes, reluctantly I can. Although I appreciate what the players on both sides are trying to achieve at the moment, it's not exactly entertaining me. I'm sick of watching Pommies standing around talking to each other and laughing. A bit of intensity wouldn't go astray right now. They just had a drinks break that resembled a BBQ.

North 101 Haddin 50

98 runs added that session without the loss of a wicket. Australia leads by 142.

Good stuff Marcus North :-bd

Need to throw the bat for another 50 in half-hour and then declare. Have a go at the Poms for 20 overs before the weather comes in.
