westbrook was out injured last week......

Broadbent out...Shirley in....fair swap!

this should be another great game.....

the Eagles have a very dangerous forward lineup.....

however Sturt's backline has been the best all year so far......

if its wet then the pace will be out of the game which will suit the Eagles.....

Eagles by 15 pts

congrats to young Broady.......this boy will be a very good AFL player......Power should have played him earlier than now though....

also watchout for young Smith if he gets a game....highly rated....

Bately is likely to get a game before the end of the year too......

Brodie Smith wore 59 last week Spelly, Gossy and Hentschell share 37.

They sain on CH10 news that Cornes in and Chaplin out is likely to be the only change for Port, so for Broady's sake hopefully he plays with us and not the travelling emergency, unless he isn't a confident flyer and needs practice!!!

Would be surprised if Smith did get a game this week, but Ron has shown in the past he isnt afraid to take a risk on a youngster, all the best to him if he does.

The inclusion of Shirls and hanging on to Burtie is certainaly a bonus, didnt expect that either of those would be in this week, the midfield will need to work hard this week to cut off the supply to Chambers.

Eagles by 12 pts.
Trust the process.

Would be very interesting to watch Smith play league I think Dale Symons may still be troubled by injuries.

To think we have been one of the sides in recent seasons that have been accused of being overly reliant on AFL listed players. I would imagine it is going to be difficult for Brent Reilly to force his way into a winning Crows line-up, but if he does we will cover him.

How will the Eagles go if they lose the likes of Burton & Broadbent? Again I would think WWT supporters are hoping the Crows leave him in SANFL ranks for one more week.....

Very good named side. Should be too strong for Sturt, provided the same effort and intensity that was displayed after quarter time last week is on show again for the full game Saturday.

From what i heard on the radio. Shirley was dropped from the crows and Goodwin and Walker are in. With Shirley and Burton in the side, will be a very interesting game

The Crows changes were Robert Shiley and Richard Douglas omitted with Simon Goodwin and Brent Reilly coming into the side...

Taylor Walker has been named to line up in a forward pocket for the Redlegs in the SANFL with Shirley not named in the Eagles line up (from the member email) as he is first emergency for the Crows and may be on standby in case Goodwin doesn't come up. Not sure if the Crows will release Shirly to play Saturday arvo with the Crows playing against Fremantle on the Saturday night.

One thing i like about Fuller is he never complains about injuries like alot of other sides in the comp & he's not afraid of giving his youngsters a crack at the big time.
Alot of Eagles supporters are very critical of Fuller & if they knew anything about footy they'd realise this bloke has done plenty of good things for their club over the years & has given alot of youngsters a taste of SANFL footy which holds the kids & the club in good stead for the future.

Umm you reckon the effort showed agaisnt the 2nd bottom team is enough to beat a team that currently sit 3rd and have won 4 times the games that Port have.....

Interesting....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Ta. :) No-Mercy you are correct there. While some of his methods and moves leave people scratching their heads, there have been a good flow of new players into the side, and not solely reliable on interstate recruits. Not being afraid to throw a new player into the action enabled Paul Stewart to be a premiership player. Now he is in the Power side, and has taken the most marks in the League this year so far.

That is an example of him knowing talent when he sees it. After all, he did coach a hat trick of Under 17s flags.

Umm, yes I do.

I think if the Eagles play to the best of their ability they would beat Sturt playing to the best of their ability - if you know what I mean...

Predictions and talk doesn't mean much though...
