Now that the club is financialy sound Macca would be great.

2002. We had a great list with a host of players returning from AFL. 3 stand out teams which didnt lose a game to the other 6, expect for a Norwood loss to West.
We came 3rd in a 3 horse race, which in my eyes was a failure.

......and only made the preliminary final by virtue of a 1 point win over a battling Eagles outfit the previous week if memory serves.

The cream certainly rose to the top the following week at Adelaide Oval ;)

No need to rub it in MST. :(

We beat every team at least once and Norwood was the only team Central couldnt beat that year, but had we met them in the finals we probably would have gone down anyway coz our form in that finals series was very poor.

Very true . Ron has gone on 1 year too long in some players eyes and I would be surprised if he is there next year at Woodville.

Keep Ron at Woodville I say. The Eagles are hard enough to beat now without a new coach.

Of course we know what a salary cap is. It's what the other naughty clubs keep breaking to try and put together a team that can beat the dominant team (who plays for the love of the guernesy)!

Probably the best Assistant/Reserves coach in the SANFL can be scratched from the list

Mick Godden has accepted a role in Darwin, footy based, I presume it is with AFLNT

Was only a matter of time

Yep it was because there was plenty of work up that way for his wife and she couldn't get any here. Good luck to them both hopefully they enjoy it.

David Oatey never spoke a word to Trevor Hill in last 18 months

Hill put Potts into U18 role to get him out of senior ranks and p!ss Oatey off.

You have to understand politics is alive and well in footy clubs.

I sat 5m from the 2 of them sitting in the coaches box chatting the other night when Norwood and Westies had a triple header with League, reserves and U18's on the same day.

Thats that sorted then. Done deal .
