Barry Hall

Postby klaan » Wed Jul 08, 2009 11:56 pm

I heard today that the eagles have offered Barry Hall an opportunity to play for them for the rest of the season.

I'd love to see him in the SANFL even against my South team!

Umm where did you here that?? I'll think you'll find that there is a small matter of the June 30 cut-off for transfers/signings.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I was going to mention salary cap issues, but we all know most clubs can do what they like in regard to this.

You'd think he'd make an ideal replacement for J. Clayton ;)

Interesting that on the SANFL web site there is a poll asking the question as to whether or not people would like to see Barry Hall play in the SANFL. At present, the poll sits on 64 total votes, with 38 votes for YES (59%) and 26 votes for NO (41%).

Personally, I think he would be great in the SANFL, as long as he doesn't continue his thug ways, but not sure any club would be able to pay him the kind of money he would demand. I think he may be lucky to get another cance in the AFL, perhaps with the Western Bulldogs, but think he might just end up becoming involved in boxing, where I'm sure he would go well.

Enjoyed the Sam Newman interview with Barry Hall on tonight's Footy Show, good luck to Barry in his future endeavours...

no chance, he wouldn't quit AFL to take a massive paycut playing SANFL, especially when he has a boxing career in the waiting.

Geez... I like how playing 240 incident free games out of 250 is forgotten... he gave a few players the odd jab and tickle... he only belted a player a couple of times... has he got a frustration issue, yeah sure, but it wouldn't stop me recruiting him to North Melbourne.

He did handle the interview well, but I thought Sam Newman laboured the point. How many times are you going to ask the same damn question, seriously, ask it once or twice and move on to other things.

Would've been great if he gave Sam one as well.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
