rumour circulating at indy training last night bangers smith has got the $hits up with loxton after turning up at the tribunal and no loxton official there to support him so hes signed with wunkar, anyone heard anything along those lines?

also there will be quite a few indy players having 2 weeks off in a row instead of just the 1 for failing to show common courtesy and make a phone call!

I was told two weeks ago he may not play again as he feels targeted by the umpies.

You normally do get targeted by umpires when you go around looking for biffo every game you play. If you're going to dish it out, you gotta suffer the consequences.

Plenty of blokes look for biffo. Plenty of blokes snipe under packs. Some of them win Whillas Medals. Some of them win leading goalkicker awards.
You shouldn't be targeted for actions you may or may not have taken - you should be targeted when you actually do something.
If every player who was up for that sort of caper was singled out for the same treatment, I'd agree. But they don't.
He got sent off against us for a very minor infringement. We all laughed when the free was given against him because it was so soft and then he got sent off.
I'm not saying there's a campaign against him - but he certainly feels so.

Are any of you going to Waikerie to watch the footy tomorrow?

Looking forward to it, with some higher profile players dropped in recent weeks , ie Pettigrew and Reilly, as well as Benno playing makes for good viewing.

The independent game will be interesting to watch also, i havent seen much independent footy in the past.

Reading the West v Sturt thread, he didn't go so well. But then...he was playing as a forward in a side which kicked only five or so goals. Pretty tough day to make any sort of impact.

I know he had to come off in the final because of his hamstring.
Not sure how bad it is though.
