Don't know if there is any talk of him being available to play League. Reserves were very short on Saturday bringing players out of retirement.... Not sure it will be the last Reserves game he plays though....

Seyers- in RMFL leading Goal kicking was kicking 4-5 a game. over 100 league games at imps
Hodge- Great Form close to equal fav. for the Mail Medal.
B,Harrowfield- Career best form with a massive pre-season an hitting the ball twice as hard as other seasons over 100 senior games at imps
R,Edwards- Key Ruckman this season an over 50 league games at imps
R,Eyre- Amazing Defender a Key part of the Imperials running defence.
Wait- MAIL MEDAL fav. Amazing form hardest player to stand in RMFL.
M.Hines- hasnt had much a go in 2009, but in 2008 was a key part to the Imperials defence
Shiell- One of the best fowards to play in RMFL kicked over 100 goals 5 seasons straight, amazing skills.
Newell- The Heart an Soul of the young imps outfit in 2009, the hard nut of the team. over 150 games at imps.


But Imps have held up with out these players it is great to see young fowards at imps, they have always struggled to get young juniors to become key fowards an on the weekend if im not wrong Obrien 5 goals and Kowald 5 goals both Imps juniors and both under 20yr of age.

So much depth at Imps, and no real surprise given the amount of money they turn over there, and the population base they get to draw players from.

If they have anywhere near a full side the premiership is their's for the taking. If they fail again at the last hurdle like they have so often this decade i'm not sure how they'd deal with that!

Even if IMPS win this year they have still been 1 of the biggest chokers when comes to winning the most important game of the year. And there no sure thing this year .

Un Sure on Matthew but he most likely will play when in comes closer to finals,

AN I am not a massive Imps Lad just past footballer, career cut short with injurys but i played there and for bloody sake they are chokers on grand final day teams just step up and imps play at the same level as the whole year, the club does NOT get up for special occasions there isnt alot of passion normally but this year just watching them they look passionte about there footy.

How do Meningie beat Mannum??? Did they have a few players out??? It seems thats all it takes this year, 1 or 2 of your better players missing & your vulnerable. Have heard Mannum signed another Port Adelaide player, can any1 confirm this & if so whats his Name etc.

There was some talk a month or 2 ago that they'd signed both Gavin Wanganee and Brayden Lyle and that they'd both play enough games to qualify for finals. Haven't heard much since though.

Mannum must be paying a heap of cash this year, although i have heard they have been fortunate enough to receive some funds from a particular wealthy supporter.

Sorry GWW however Mannum's money doesnt come from a wealthy benefactor (although if there is one out there I am sure they would take it). It's as a result of a ridiculous amount of hard work by their current president and his committee. They have the place running like clockwork, with a sprinkling of the normal footy club issues. It's a pleasure to be around at the moment.

Yeah I read that a couple pages back as well. That lucky bloke lives in Palmer and I reckon someone told me he was wearing a Mypo hat at the footy over there a couple weeks ago. Those rumours were interesting but not a lot of truth to them. a lazy 4 million tax free would be handy to buy a new set of water bottles or two

So where are they getting all their coin from then, & can the club afford it long term, or are they just trying to Win a flag in the year they have a Home GF. This is the major thing wrong with the Pre-determined system at the RMFL. Clubs loading up because of the fact

sustainable match payments for country football, what a great topic which could fill this forum and every other aussie rules forum in existence. finding that balance between home grown and travelling paid players is truly a juggling act that i am glad I dont have to be a part of. Team going well, everyone happy, team going rough, knives out regardless of your player mix.
Unfortunately I will never do it but imagine running out on GF day at your home ground, life changing experience I reckon. RMFL pre determined locations is not unique and fine by me. Other system was not that fair to some clubs who by chance could miss out all together on finals and make no coin during finals. Give it 7 years so everyone has a go and then make a decision I think.
