I know he is knocking on the door for his AFL debut, but i would think on yesterdays performance he has knocked the door well and truely over.

It was great to be at Woodville Oval yesterday - what a day!

A great game of SANFL Footy, one of the best I have seen over the past 5 years. To have over 3000 people there was really a good achievement for our Club. Port can draw a crowd, no doubt about it.

But, there was heaps of stuff going on at the ground. The place was heaving and so was the club after.

#24 = Matthew Broadbent - Power listed player yet to debut in AFL (surely that will change soon)

NO YOU CAN NOT !
I'm surprised and disappointed in you 'spelly'. You're just putting your own club's interests first.
Burton should be rushed straight back into the Crows forward line, so that Norwood can have
'Tex' Walker back for the rest of this year and next.
;)
Don't ya' just hate hypocrisy ???

I love it - it shows you are passionate about your club. ;)

Columbo, I thought there were at least 30 free kicks paid for each team, it seemed that every minute a free was paid. Surely there were more than 46.

I counted three kegs wheeled on by as we stood on the scoreboard hill.

And Eddie Eagle was in fine form all day resulting in the boys and girls in blue positioning themselves behind us.

Don't know whether they were there to protect us from the rabid Port supporters or vice versa

A couple of things to arise stats wise:

Mark Passador is now the undisputed career goals record holder for the Eagles; going past Scott Morphetts' tally which included night series goals - 305; as well as taking into account the one less goal the Football Budget credits him for. The record (by my tally) is now at 307.

Also, if Port does not make the 5, this will definitely be the first season where the Eagles have had an undefeated record against Port! Yes, it's true:
Year Overall (Finals)
1991: 1-1
1992: 0-4 (0-1)
1993: 1-2 (1-0)
1994: 3-2 (1-1)
1995: 0-3
1996: 1-2
1997: 0-2
1998: 1-2
1999: 1-2 (0-1)
2000: 2-1
2001: 2-2 (2-0)
2002: 2-1
2003: 1-1
2004: 2-1
2005: 2-2 (1-1)
2006: 2-1
2007: 1-1
2008: 0-3
2009: 2-0
Total: 24-33 (5-4)

Birdman sensational game back after a year off. Contested possession after contested possession.

ps what is it with the port power/collingwood magpie peanuts wearing port power colours to a sanfl match? dumb f*cks have no clue

Same as Crows fans wearing their colours to all other SANFL matches!!! Imbosile

Is it that bad, really? Look when im at Footy Park at a crows game and it's cold, I'll wear my Sturt scarfe, It's the only footy scarfe thatI'll ever wear, it's my 1st team and that's it, end of story. If I'm supporting a team in another league/comp then I'll still wear it. I've gone to melb to see a crows game and other non SA teams, and worn it and seen other sturt people over there that I don't know, and just because of the clobber we say hi. It's great! Wear it with pride and when the Vics ask "what the **** are you wearing " it will be the only chance you'll get to educate them about SA footy when they'll be half intersted and listen. Tell them about every player from your team in SANFL and I bet they'll be surprised and show some sort of respect. It's happened numerous times for me. WEAR THEM WITH PRIDE! GO YOU DOUBLE BLUES

I've heard many a yarn over the last few seasons about his old bowling team The Drunks. We must catch up at Woodville one day as I don't beleive I've had the pleasure of meeting you yet Mickyj.

I had the pleasure of being able to watch the game from the past players tent on Sunday - it was good to catch up with some of the past legends of both clubs. Speaking to such greats as Gary Haylock, Ralph Sewer, Bob Enright, Gavin Colville, Nick Pesch etc was a delight.

I believe J Clayton has been cited for the gutless mugging of Luke Jarrad (broken nose and eight stiches). With his record he should be put out for the rest of the year.

From the SANFL Insider email, Clayton has been cited and placed upon report. With his terrible record and the fact that Jarrad immediately reminstrated in a vein that clearly didn't indicate it was an accident in a contest, I would say Jezza is in trouble again !!

SANFL Insider wrote:LEAGUE REPORTS:

Port Adelaide Magpies: Jeremy Clayton - Striking

Glenelg: John Hinge - Unduly rough play

West Adelaide: Damien Cupido - Striking

I would assume that seing as though the incident wasn't reported at the time, he has been booked on video evidence which would obviosuly be damming wnough for him to be cited, so like I say, could be another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Did Clayton go off with a hamstring injury late in the game anyway? Or just cramp?

I assume the incident where Jarrad got his broken nose was on the western side where Clayton ended up with the free kick? Not long before that in the centre square Clayton let go a strong punch to an Eagles player at the bottom of the pack in the centre square which the umpire didn't see.
