I've heard some rumours mt barker are trying to poach Jesse Edwards and Jed durdin from echunga offering some big coin

Why is this, my mail was that he is getting a bit disheartened at sturt and was thinkin of coming home to subway stadium. good inclusion if Lofty get him back, with him and j mac should certainly cover the loss of cutting.

Steve Sziller has played one game for the club and that was a one off this year, Tim Jenkin although cleared this year has never palyed a senior game for Loby, Gary Schultz was cleared at least 18 months ago and only played about 2 games in 2007, Ben Hanna came from Gum this year, played one game and left again, (apparently money issues). As for Tim Polkinghorne, Brodie Poole and Matthew Figas, none of them have ever played a senior game at Loby and I can't say I know every player by name at the club but I have never heard of any of these guys. Don't know how accurate the info on the other clubs is.

Great result for Ironbank ... played committed. wanted it for more against an understrength Devils ... 3 in a row great effort .. but I think the hunger has gone for Mt Lofty !!!! Every one wants to beat the best, Devils still on 23 points .... obviously go shopping next year, changing of the guard for this year at least ...

well done to the bankers, they deserved the win, play a harder, faster brand of footy, which the devils pride themselves on, a bit of sole searching at subway stadium, the break will do them well, a new team after the bye i rekon, they will need it if they want to win this year. Never say never. On ironbank just another well done to play some young lads and bradley adds another dimension to their team, still believe billy bawden is the best ruckman goin around still.

Well done Gazz Campbell again at Ironbank. What a high quality game of footy. Lofty had some outs but the mixture of Bradley, Wendels, Williams and co with those kids who at no stage at all where overwhelmed or intimidated all goes well for the future of the bankers. I can see why they are exited about the young shearwood lad - totally looked the part at such a young age. First time I'd seen Hulme, Copeland, Irwin and Van Paridon and they have talent and enthusiasm to burn. Great for the comp. No doubt the Lofty lads will rebound, they played really well in patches as well. They will appreciate the break and get some players back. Hills footy is alive and well.

What a game of footy on Saturday at Thunder Park. It was a real pleasure to be part of it.

Both sides put in their all, but unfortunately, there could only be one winner & that was the might Thunderers.

Congratulations to Strop Campbell & the Ironbank Committee for having the forsight & fortitude in giving those younsters the opportunity to play A Grade football. The perserverance has finally paid off by beating last year's premiers.

The Thunderers haven't beaten the Devils since 2004 & Saturday's win has been a hard grind. You couldn't get the grin off Strop's face, nor the Prez's for that matter, after the game.

There has been a bit of feeling between these two clubs over the years, but having Coco, the Devil's President, (coming into our change rooms) after the game to contratulate Strop Campbell & Paul Langman, our President, was a great show of sportsmanship, that didn't go un-noticed.

As said in a previous post, A Grade footy is alive & healthy in the Hills.

Go you Thunderers

wheels certainly havent fallen off at mt lofty, just injury taking its toll and they havent been playing the best football. Full credit to ironbank however, they played some awesome footy. The loss hurt even more for mt lofty with the injury to young gun alex weeks, who may face an up hill battle to get back for september.

yeah a very early start... 6am at woodcroft - tough on a few lads as there was a club function on the saturday night too.. but by all reports every A grader that played was there.. and 1 that was missing due to a wedding on saturday arvo even made it down there. one in all in were his words on the saturday night- speaking to one of the lads that went it was more of a test to see who was dedicated enough to show up. and see who really cared about what had happened the day before... i think a tough session on tuedsay is on the cards though..

That's a fair effort, considering your boys were backing up after a club function. To steal a line from The Simpsons: That's impressive, and I'm not easily impressed. Wow, a blue car!
