Brenton been dissapointed with the reliability of the rubber bands in his legs and has decided to have an extended holiday to make sure the bands are completely loose. He has been getting plenty of treatment from a sports medicine specialist in this field. I would think that he may time his run so he is cherry ripe for a tilt at a finals assaualt.
The Panthers will once again towel up Nuri tomorrow.

Ango r a better side without this bascombe bloke. Watched them a few times last year and he is just a fat lazy slob who picks and chooses when to go! Surprised his knees havent gone with the extra weight!

He has certainly embraced the Angaston way of life and is attempting to grow a beard.. but surely he'd just be making up the numbers on previous form. Disappointing for one of the guys that have done the hard yards to have to give up their spot for a glory hound.

Peter Cameron - A former premiership and B&F player back in the 1986 premiership side for the panthers has returned to the club as the reserves coach. His knowledge and experience is invaluable, he also has a very good understanding of the game and possesses a very charismatic personality. He could quite easily hold down a senior role.

Peter " Cam Shaft " Cameron has been a solid performer at our cricket club over the years and is a good bloke to have around any club. Not sure he would be up to some of his former antics from 1986 but if he gets enough under his belt there just may be a Puppetry display at some stage. I am tipping the Turtle will be unleashed before finals start.

when fit i would have basco in my team any day of the week, has that x-factor others dont! As for the glory hound bit pinch, bit harsh, heres a guy whos been through it all with ango, their flag to their wooden spoons and missed a fair wack of footy with injuries, broken leg, hammies and still fronts up, would suggest maybe its he whos been doing the hard yards.

Brenton has spent alot of summers in the gym and pre seasons chiseling his physique for the rigors of country football. I guess the 2009 pre season he endured at the Streaky Bay Hotel didnt pay dividends like Phil Mckevoys tips from over the bar. From all reports he will back down to his size 38 Angaston shorts in 4 weeks.

no time for making allowances at A Grade level.. Good selectors should only pick on form and a spot straight in the middle in the 2's for a few weeks would be the best option here.

Would of liked Bascombe, the BL&G serial pest drop into my 50 metre arc.

I always enjoyed kicking my goals at the scoreboard end at Panther Park, didnt enjoy the cold showers after though. Saw a few guys with two belly buttons it was that cold.

Bascombe would be in anybodys side when fit. To be honest his body has let him down the last 2 or 3 seasons. Anybody who played the way he did over an extended period is going to have some wear and tear. He hasnt had the footy gods on his side of late, but is working out he needs to prepare himself a little differently now he's getting on a bit. As far as a glory hound goes, he stuck with Ango when they one 3 games in 2 years, not much glory there ! He knows he's a shit stirrer ( but this only works if your mentally weak anyway, and he always knows his targets), but he's no glory hound.
I'd put good money on it that he will make a few posters on this website eat their words by the end of the season

I think that most anti-Bascombe bloggers have been on the end of another game of domination by the great man.
When you step into Basco’s office on a Saturday afternoon, you know that no contest will be easy. He plays a good old hard fashioned brand of footy, rather than the homo style that the game has become.
Drifter – Welcome back, I thought that a Dingo had taken you.\:D/

BB one of the many characters in this league and it is good to have him around, except when he plays against your own side. I have it on good authority that BB is one of the Ango bloggers on this web site.

Hey swooper saw you mentioned that both Greenwood & Kaesler did not play last weekend, I was amused to see that the great John Doe (M Teakle) did not mention this in his very fair wrap up of the Ango v Tan clash in the Herald, he only mentioned Ango's outs, Harvey & Reinman.

Skipper my boy, I think you should think before you write, he has been wrongly accused again. It was the G part of the GT sports combination that reported on the Tanunda v Angaston game. I will pass my apologies onto Media Mike on your behalf. :supz:

Come on Duke you and I both know that the match report would have been prepared by MT or he would have briefed Gogell on the match. MT was certainly strutting around at the Ango V Tan game, I'm pretty sure Gogell was not at the game but I could be wrong. MT reported on two other games so it does show that they do rely on other sources for their match reports and we all know how unbiased MT is when it comes to the Ango reports which is probably why his name is not on their games anymore.

Anyway good win by your boys which will really firms up your final hopes now, how did the new ruckman perform?. Tan finally broke away from Bar in fairly heavy conditions. Tan had 15 out in both A&B grades so it was terrific effort all round, they only just managed to scrape a B grade side together with ex players getting the call up on Friday night.

Skip your Freeling boys really look to be in strife now, there has been talk about other coaches in this league so how about Prousey, will he hold his job? hopefully he does he is a good clubman.

Swoop,
Prousey is safe, it was always going to take longer than a year. Would be great to snatch a win or 2 though. Club atmosphere is better than it was even in the good years, which is not meant to be any disrespect to Scotty Leal. Yesterday the first half was pretty competitive but fell away badly after half time

Haddens charges ventured to Nuri as underdogs to take on Stafford’s boys in a finals type rehearsal, with Hadden coming home with the chocolates for the second time this year. Nuri were quickly snapped out of their fantasy talk of a minor round premiership as the panthers were successful in shutting down Nuri's unaccountable game plan with a typical ruthless and uncompromising attack on the footy. Brandon "the body" Kurtze led from the front with a BOG performance in his 100th game.
