Ruben Carter, you look like you have a soft spot for Barossa & or Nelson. What do you think of what is going on after the last few week of footy?

Should they keep Nelson?
Something to think about

I strongly support any coach against unfair or unjustified criticism because having played and coached myself, I know that at the end of the day a coach is generally only as good as the cattle he has available. Having said that, if the coach makes poor decisions about recruitment, selection and game style etc., then he should be held accountable.
Should Nelson continue ? Only if there is not a better alternative available at the right price.
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

Come on lets move on from Barossa Districts , they have had enough air time on this thread this week.

The facts state the folk at Williamstown share a particular "faulty" chromosome. This so-called "Z-chromosome" is the one responsible for wild charisma that attracts them to members of there own family , but comes at the cost of inbreeding, humility and a susceptibility to Scientology.

Back in the day when i was spearing out from the goal square at full tilt, i would of enjoyed having the cumbersome Ryan Nelson dropping into my second square. The Peter Caven incident springs to mind.

A few new entrants!
$2.25 - Mark Brant - Unlucky to have been axed from the Cawler Central contingency last year, which decided to go in favour of one of there own mini buses.
$4.15 - Simon Koch - What he doesnt know about the opposition isnt worth knowing, played as Seelanders 2IC for a number of years and would see the Lions as an oppotune club to start his A-Grade coaching career.
$4.55 - Shane Broad - Will the club go for a younger variaty of coach, has had successfully coached at A-Grade level and may be an appointment with a long term vision.
$5.20 - Rian Nelson - Lions may want to go for a seasoned BL&G coach if he parts company with the pups.
$6.25 - Matt Hermann - Seems to have his lobists backing from his Gawler Central contingency, although they can be very easily impressed.
$6.50 - Malcolm McGrath - Would the Mesiah be prepared to dust off the coaching board and bring the club back to their glory days.
$7.50 - Darren James - Can talk under water, has spent a little time at CDFC and may be looking to also start coaching senior footy in BL&G.
$19.00 - Ben Burgess - Looking for a chance of returning to a Blue & White variety after an apprenticeship in the APFL.
b]$25.00 - Jeff Brown -[/b] A real roughie, will the Lions try and lure the former coach from his CDFC role.
$80.00 - Luke McCraken - May be a smokey with the current reserves side sitting in the four.
$999.99 - Texas Rattlesnake - Appears to go missing when the going gets tough.[/quote]

Youre on the money ... they even have a special area called Bay 13 because they can't mix with the general public.

Nelson cushened alot of full forwards landings in his playing days.. it was like landing on a 6 foot tall 2 foot wide sponge.

He must be making an impact down there Pinch Hitter, when I last seen him he was just Kocho, not the churched up Kochie.
Pinch Hitter - Would I also be correct in suggesting that Kocho wouldn't look out of place in a senior role against the likes of Seelander and co.

He is about as famous as Kochie from Sunday show fame in BLG circles so if the shoe fits.. besides Willaston is far more metro than Angaston so this progression for him was inevitable. :o

Well i think it goes without saying that Kochie can take the credit for willastons 4 wins this year and if Seelander would only give him more freedom the loss ratio might have been better.

Fabulous Shane Carman has made the June 30 cut off and been cleared to play for the panthers, he will definitely make an impact on the panthers rucking deficiency which will now allow the gun on ball division of Dawes, Harvey and Robinson to get first use of the pill.

Peter Cameron - A former premiership and B&F player back in the 1986 premiership side for the panthers has returned to the club as the reserves coach. His knowledge and experience is invaluable, he also has a very good understanding of the game and possesses a very charismatic personality. He could quite easily hold down a senior role.

If the panthers are pinning any hopes on these 2 blokes they may as well give up now.

Brenton been dissapointed with the reliability of the rubber bands in his legs and has decided to have an extended holiday to make sure the bands are completely loose. He has been getting plenty of treatment from a sports medicine specialist in this field. I would think that he may time his run so he is cherry ripe for a tilt at a finals assaualt.
The Panthers will once again towel up Nuri tomorrow.
