People who line up at newsagents for a 1 in 45370620 chance at winning. Get a life people and make room for those who want to buy a paper or magazine.
Why dont these people put an all in bet on the races each week where the odds are much better and they wont inconvenience normal people?

Because the all in will never win you $53M, thats why.

How dare those people buy Lotto tickets...

They can if they keep going all up and have much better odds of it.
I didnt say anything about people that buy lotto tickets, you must have left your glasses at home Booney. If they dont have to line up and dont inconvenience others then they can donate as much money to the government as they want as it helps keep my tax down.
Even better get them on a pokies machine.

If your eye sight is fine your comprehension skills or thought process is down then mate. :?

My issues is with those that LINE UP which you even bolded nicely to make it more obvious. I only mentioned the word BUY in your quote when talking about those who BUY magazines or newspapers.
For those who don't have to line up and inconvenience others I have no issues.
There's a big difference between lining up and buying. For example, I recently bought something off Ebay but I didn't have to line up to do it.
Read it again mate or give me a ring so I can talk really slowly to help you understand. Poor fella!

I'm sure they didn't hence another reason they shouldn't be doing it.
A different point but one I agree with and that fits nicely into my previous point. Glad you've finally come around Booney!

Not being able to buy long leg trousers. Most stores seem to only stock short or regular - not long. I'm "only" 192cm - but find it difficult to find anything to cover the ankles. However, same stores cater for those with extreme girth.

Amen to that, had that problem myself since I was about 14. I think the same people that design jeans design bus and plane seats.

Here, it is 5 consecutive days where the max is 35 degrees C or more, or 3 consecutive days where the max is 40 degrees C or more.

In January, we had 6 straight days over 40, 9 straight days over 35, a max temp of 45.7 and the highest min temp (overnight) was 33.9 degrees C. Ouch!

A day at 30 degrees is classified as a heatwave in London. I can't believe some of the headlines because there is going to be 3 days of over 30. It's apparently the highest alert London has been on because of the heat. It's not even that hot. Warm yes, hot no.

You mean people aren't dropping in the streets...you'd think they were if you watch those drama queens on Sky and BBC news. Although I'll bet the Underground isn't too pleasant right now.

Just seen the weather warning page on the BBC site...don't forget your wellies if you plan heading west Cennals ;) we're all doomed.

Was 20C at 8am here which is lovely except for the humidity ever hopeful of a breeze later. Apparently so far this is our (Scotland) warmest summer for at least 3 years.

Sounds like a pleasant warm day by our standards JAS! ;)
I suspect humidity makes some difference to how tolerable it is - that and what your body is used to and adapted to..

Like I said in my original post...it's all relative. My idea of an average winters day would be about -3C...average summer day is usually about 16C although it's often cooler with an onshore breeze. I've been to a few much hotter places summer...Middle East, Cyprus, Ascension Is, Gibraltar so I like the heat as long as it's a dry heat. I have joint problems in my hands now so the humidity makes swelling/pain a fair bit worse...dry heat actually helps ease it.

It's also a lot warmer indoors..I'm south facing (like north for you I think) so I get full sun all day...temp indoors is 26C right now...thank goodness for a desk fan  ;)
