Must admit I haven't listened to one show this year where I used to listen to the Monday, Wednesday and Thursday shows religiously so I might listen to a podcast on my drive to Melbourne this weekend to see how its changed and what its like these days.
Thanks for the info about the podcasts BP.

I listen to the podcast each week. Always good to hear discussion on the SANFL on the drive home from work every Wednesday. Along with this site it's about the only way to keep in touch with what's going on over there.

I can never remember the number for 5rph

Well done to you guys that get out and promote the SANFL. It always saddens me when i see the amount of coverage we don't get from the more prominent media outlets.

The SANFL is to me
Real footy
Real banter
Real issues
and sometime Real BS. But I wouldn't lose any of it for the world.

Will try to check you shows more often. Great job.

It's a bloody cool name for a show about footy.
My dream (when I was younger) was to kick a goal, on the run, in the dying seconds of the game to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.... from outside 50!
Not only does it describe the sport, but also captures the imagination.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

ha ha, my dream was just kick a goal, luckily I did that, pity it was only 1 to match the 13 points I kicked!

Been thinking all day and maybe -

"Your Phil of SANFL"?

or

"get your SANFL Phil here"?

or

"Phil me up with SANFL"

:D

Nice one Dutchy !!

It's good for the show with 2 x Phils on it, but what about poor old Johnny Nanks ;)

I guess "Outside 50" is better than the obvious "Mid Week Footy Show" or "The SANFL Show" (which 5AA already use) but in all seriousness, do you have a "real" suggestion ?

yeah totally agree, the only reason i use to listen was to get the sqauds before friday Advertiser but now that i have more regular use of the net SAfooty does the job earlier.

Also find the interviews and show very predictable, with the same questions been repeated each week. It's great for the SANFL to have such a radio program on air but for me i don't get any insight into the SANFL which i don't already know or get on SAfooty.

Listen most weeks. Always enjoyable.

Really like the monday wrap too. Huge improvement on a couple of years ago.

I know very little about the amatuer league, but love listening to those boys on Fridays/Mondays :D

well dutchy considering that the actual football show on wednesday mornings is about 50/50 both comps (sanfl & afl) i'd suggest the name is quite acceptable considering both comps have 50 metre lines marked on the oval & perhaps if you did hear it once you'd know that
