I'm a massive Transformers fan so went along to see the new movie yesterday. Read some average reviews so I was a bit concerned, but being a fan I though I'd still be entertained by it.

I was wrong - it was shite. Michael Bay should be shot for serving up this tripe, give me a few million and I reckon I could serve up the equivalent easy.

Michael Bay's basic filmmaking rules:

1. Come up with a storyline on the back of a beer coaster
2. Employ every model in LA as extras
3. Blow up as much shit as possible
4. Let the animation geeks go apeshit with an open cheque book
5. Slip in as much blatant product placement as possible
6. Cash in $$$

I walked out wanting my money back.

Thank you finally some one agrees I'd read a few reviews who had said it was terrible but everyone I know liked it. The thing that got me the most was the constant bad humour he tried to add in. Those 2 "Black ghetto robots" annoyed the s**t out of me the entire movie. The over used dogs rooting but the worst was the girl robot that really pissed me off its a slap in the face to the orginal cartoon.

The humour was good in the first and not over used I still laugh at the bloke in the interigation room "See I ate the whole plate, The whole plate".

Obviously was always going to be a 3rd but im a little less keen to see it now. Also one I heard was that Soundwave was going to be a surveillance truck that would had been great get him more involved use to be my favourite better then whatever he was meant to be.

Yep, they annoyed the hell out of me too, right up there with 'Jar Jar Binks' on the 'give me the sh1ts' scale.

The whole girl robot storyline was completely unnecessary, wasted 30mins and smacked of terminator, it's been done people!

Soundwave was my favourite original character as well, I was actually reasonably happy with the way they presented him for the film, that was one of the few mild highlights for me.
