it was one of the best games of amatuer footy ive seen in a long time.... up to 3 quarter time it was one of the best games of footy ive seen.... Regardless of the result, footy was the winner....
POS played well. Very strong side who are impressive all over the ground... by the way there coach is the best straunny lookalike ive ever seen (only skinnier).....
good win by plymptons reserves, are goal kicking could of been better. POS love giving a cheap one...im interested to see what other clubs think of the Pulteney umpire in the reserves... My opinion is he is the worst umpire ive seen, i expect umpire from other sides to be biast but he was very ordinary, id go as far to say he was cheating.... i know jabber your a fan of the umpires but he was a shocker.... worst this year.... by a long way!!!!! well done to POS! The ladies behind the canteen are lovely, i was more then happy to fill up a esky for them.... cheap beers, GOLD!!!!

did the ump make as many mistakes as plympton b grade did in front of goal??? 9.16???

i've said it a squillion times at the bar, plympton are the worst club going around at worrying about (dare i say it nails) things they can't control!!! if the players spent half the time that they worry about the ump being a cheat and actually used that effort to try and find the footy then maybe they'd be first to the ball more often and wont give the ump a chance to blow his whistle!!!!!!!

it would have been close...... , my only concern with there umpire was some one will get hurt.... He didn't protect the ball carrier... we were 1st to the ball majority of the time... he made the old unley umpire look magnificent

wos 7-1 hv 5-4
wos 15-3 hv 6-5
wos 21-5 hv 10-6
wos 24-6 hv 12-10
sprint when they are on they are on, good mix of tall/small forwards good midfield who work extremely hard forward to oharas tapwork and a defence that is very honest. could leak goals to top sides if they dont turn the ball over as we do against them. played them 6 times in last 12 months for just 1 win. anyone who under estimates them will be at their peril as i told duncs way back in march. a legitimate chance for promotion imo if they get it right in september,as we did last year

Kooka the Mildura bloke, played in the magoos and went average. Had about 10 touches in the first quater then had a rest. Still getting back to match fitness  Milked a beautiful free kick in the last quater that resulted in the worst goal you have ever seen from the boundary. The umpire was very kind giving him the kick in the first place. Might have been a fellow poster on here that gave the free away aswell.... ;)

Club not going anywhere

Even talk of a C grade which i reckon has not happened in 10 years or so

Few years ago they were struggling but going ok now

Well if the club is going so well and dont owe a cent. Why were the players asked if they could give up their payments this week. Doesnt sound like they are going to well if they are asking the players to give up what they are owed. Whats the story there?

On a disappointing note, it's sad to say that WOS' B grade umpire needs to do everyone a favour and retire. I know it's hard to get umpires these days, but this bloke was seriously bad. I swear, whenever he blew his whistle, he'd forget why, and then had to quickly make something up! The bloke was about 90 years old!!

Surely the boundary umpire who played for them last year could do a better job?? In fact, my dog could have done a better job than him!!

As you said mate very hard to get umpires, i hear your point, the old boy does struggle but seriously its not as if we have blokes lining up wanting to do the job.

I know there were many calls of "cheat" coming from all the HV people (players included) but i can tell you its not cheating, we get the bad end of it just as often (maybe not today, fair enough)

I guess my point is that it does nobody any good personally ubusing umpires, all that does is discourage others from putting their hands up (such as the boundary umpire you refer to) they are on a hiding to nothing, i can tell you there is no way i would put myself through that for the $70 or $80 bucks you get

Ultimately in the B Grade the best side will win on the day as HV did today regardles off the umpiring

I'd have to agree with you there, he made some errors when we played you, but they went both ways, you could clearly tell that he was not trying to "cheat", it is a very strong word and something I don't think he deserves to be called.

Hey zed, some pretty funny occaisions on Saturday with the tag on Taylor as far as centre ball-ups, he left both teams confused, it was a pretty clever tactic that he came up with, unfortunately no one else knew what he wsa going to do.

yeah it was amusing until he kept getting the ball!

he was trying to catch the tagger going into the square to late before the ball up..there were about 3-4 frees paid for early entry in the square on saturday but strangely i dont think taylor and his shadow were the cause..hes a top player mate

as i said on saturday night i thought james was the difference and i see he got the BOG from you guys..the taylor tagger is pretty good at his job and has some nice scalps this year, but honours went to taylor this time..bondy however had a dirty one :P

Our top 4 we're all 18 or younger, James' ground work is exceptional for a big guy.

 After the mediocre performance that the A grade put in against Bos on the weekend it was decided that perhaps they should give something back to the club that gives them something everyweek. Nothing to do with finance`s. I put this to bed a couple of pages back  As much as alot of knocker`s would hope, Rosewater isn`t going anywhere. Sorry. Oh great game by BOS on the weekend, they played an allround TEAM game. ;)

Switter seems to be going okay.
Playing when he can work wise.

As for Justy's age, it was a guess but I think he's at most six years younger than me.

Tips for this week...

BOS over Elizabeth by 8 goals. BOS continue to build strong momentum and form into the 2nd half of the season, whereas the Eagles have dropped off the radar (despite a solid win over Ingle Farm last week).
Smithfield over Ingle Farm by 15 goals.
WOS over Rosewater by 6 goals. Whilst BOS have gained form, Rosewater have lost it, as was seen last week. Rosewater won't like travelling over ANZAC Highway and WOS will continue on from a solid win over Hope Valley last week.
Pultney over Hope Valley 6 goals. Hope Valley are a better side than they are showing at the moment, but Pultney were fantastic last week. It's possible that Hope Valley could cause an upset, but unlikely.
Plympton over Kenilworth 15 goals. Plympton will be looking for redemption after last week.

I reckon last weeks results showed the Div opening up a little. Games I'd expected to be close were blown out. The next month will probably show who are genuine final contenders this year.
