Basically our whole backline is out you twit which if you read the posts properly, that's what the posts were about. Did you know that or do you only pipe up when you team wins. Our remnants of a backline did nowhere near as bad as our midfield and forward line.
That sort of insipid performance makes it virtually impossible for our backline to do anything.
Btw, i'll say, SEASON OVER FOR CARLTON
If I see Fev let his player run 80m down field to effect a shot on goal then i'll personally see to it that he never plays footy again (as if I could do that but that is how frustrated I am with this pretender).
And, STEVENS, ******* RETIRE ALREADY OR GO BACK TO WHERE YOUR DOWNHILL SKIING STYLE SUITS, THE POWER, doubt they'll have you though.

You'd have to be happy where the Bombers are at this stage of the year, their ability to take on the opposition week after week with run & carry is giving their youngsters much needed confidence & with that comes form.
Alot of people had the Bombers bottom 4 early in the year aswell as not rating Matty Knights as a coach, well i'm glad he's shoving it right up your ar$es.
As for Fev, he's a disgrace to that Carlton side showing no accountability for his direct opponent when theres a turnover.
A great game by Pears which would rate him in the top 3 best players on the night.
Fev's display tonight showed he's only worried about me, myself & i.

I guess that's why they pay him the big bucks :)

I keep saying this, but people think I'm joking. The only good seasons Fev has had is those seasons where he is coming out of a contract. By comparison, his worst seasons have been those where he has just entered into a new one.

Do the sums, and you'll realise what kind of player he is.

Hold on.... three weeks ago v Adelaide, everyone bagged Fev for not being in the forward line, so we had someone to kick to when the ball was turned over and therefore getting his kicks in the backline.

I'm not saying he shouldn't chase, but don't you think he'd be directed by the coach as to what to do?

The criticism was because he was actually playing up the ground and not back where he should be in the square. Playing in the goal square is not a get out of jail free card not to chase. ******* lazy.

Some players listen to coaches, other players listen to that little voice in their heads that tells them to do stupid things.

And the problem is, is that the little voice is speaking a different language...

Fev = Gold Coast....

******* disgraceful effort Carlton, from the Coach all the way down...

I can understand why they got rid of Pagan. I can't understand why we got Ratts though...

Pagan had plenty of chance to move Fev on Dutchy, but he kept him there through his reign.....

Any good coach would of dragged Fev for not chasing his opponent down the ground, weak as p!ss as far as i'm concerned.
Did you see him shrug his shoulders & throw his arms in the air when a team-mate obviously criticised him for not chasing?

B Fevola will never play in a premiership whether he stays at Carlton or not (excluding plastic pre season cups for the smart alecs out there). Premiership sides are built around selflessness and players being committed to the team's success above their own, enough said.

Ask people like Scott Camporeale, Corey McKernan, Hickmott and a few others why they didn't want to continue. That's why Pagan's not there any more.

Also, why wouldn't other clubs be jumping to sign him up if he was still revered.

No! The whole match commitee isn't doing a good job of picking a team that can run with other teams. There doesn't seem to be any thought process going into who we can pick that will match up well on others. Seem to keep making the same mistakes over and over.

This is a circular conversation. We talked about depth and that's the problem. We don't have the types of players to choose from when we're up against sides like Essendon (ie, quick).

Although you post was a bit rantish you made some pretty good points there. Stevens is slow, and I mean he has really slowed down and can get shown up for pace badly at times. The carlton midfield really needs that hard in and under player. Judd, Murphy and Gibbs are all good players but its just that in and under or I guess consider it a strong bodies player, ie Jobe Watson - until he got injuried was good at that, not so much in and under but stength in the contested ball situation.
But in saying that with Kruzer starting to roll and that unit Hampson, Carlton should have got enough of ball through the middle.
Also you post about Fev is spot on.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Does sound like a bit of a rant now you mention it. Was still pissed (and pissed off) after drowning my sorrows after the game at the hotel we stayed at.

Hard unit in the mids is definitely what we need. Someone who can clear the way for Judd, Murphy and co. This was supposed to be Hadley and he started off the season well but is injury prone so can't continually play the hard bodied type.
