mate, i reckon that you should take a look at yourself, these guys are full, paid up, financial members of the umpiring panel...one also a goal umpire...not just club officials that don a white T-shirt...they PAY for their uniform...why would they do this if they werent financial umpire members for season 2009

Ump, you are an idiot. The bloke may be an A grade goal umpire, but how can you justify that
both under 17 umpires had sons playing for South today, surely whoever the the bloke that rosters the umpires can know this.

very easy to justify... he JUST IS!
and the fact that their sons were playing is irellevant, theyre UMPIRES...and an opposition observor of this game rules your perception that this is an issue at all wrong...

Obviously you're the only one that matters.

some pretty interesting results couple nice bags taken home this week..

looks as though Barossa have capitualted out of the finals race.. nelson would have pencilled this one in and they had their pants pulled down. end of a short era for the dogs.

leggies so close.

Came back in the last quarter, 5 goals i think to 3.
Brenton Craig marked inside 50 bout 40m out when siren blew.
Freeling up by 1 point at that stage, goal after the siren to win the game.
Very courageous effort to the Legs, tried there hearts out.

THe Ango v Tan game was a very good fair clash with Ango playing very well and getting close in the last quarter only to be run over by Tanunda's class. Liked the look of Dawe's and Robbo for Ango and also No.1, I think it is a Roesler. A puff of wind would blow him over but goes all day. Ango without Harvey and Tanunda without Greenwood and Kaesler was a little dissapointing. Looks like last season's bitterness has now gone, especially with the coahing panel at Ango, the only mistake I think Hadden made for the day was not playing Reinman more in the ruck.

I find it hard to believe that Reimann didn't ruck much, who is ango's other ruckman anyway?

Kymbo Reimann is normally the first choice ruchman but is currently injured, although he may find it hard to come straight back in the A's, because Big Nickers Reimann has turned the clock back a few years and carry the rucking duties very well. Young Gus Adams has also come up from the U17's and has been able to hold his own.

Catchit, my toughts on your question regarding the upcoming south coaching job.

$2.25 - Mark Brant - Unlucky to have been axed from the Cawler Central contingency last year, which decided to go in favour of one of there own mini buses.
$4.15 - Simon Koch - What he doesnt know about the opposition isnt worth knowing, played as Seelanders 2IC for a number of years and would see the Lions as an oppotune club to start his A-Grade coaching career.
$4.55 - Shane Broad - Will the club go for a younger variaty of coach, has had successfully coached at A-Grade level and may be an appointment with a long term vision.
$6.25 - Matt Hermann - Seems to have his lobists backing from his Gawler Central contingency, although they can be very easily impressed.
$6.50 - Malacolm McGrath - Would the Mesiah be prepared to dust off the coaching board and bring the club back to their glory days.
$25.00 - Jeff Brown - A real roughie, will the Lions try and lure the former coach from his CDFC role.
$80.00 - Luke McCraken - May be a smokey with the current reserves side sitting in the four.
$999.99 - Texas Rattlesnake - Appears to go missing when the going gets tough.

The SK train is definitely gaining some momentum. SK could well be the Nathan Buckley of the BL&G, as the most credentialed prospect waiting in the wings for an A-Grade job. Like Buckley he also appears to be playing his cards close to his chest.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

Mate from Freeling has a lad in the senior colts and said the umps lost the plot in the game, throwing out 50 metre penalties like confetti. There WILL be an issue, as a written complaint is going in to the umpiring admin this week.
Noted one of the umps in that game was a bloke called Chris Cameron. The bloke should never umpire junior games as he makes himself the focus of the game, to the detriment of the players and the game itself.
I know he doesn't officiate that much in this league, but I watched a junior game a couple of years ago (Sth Gaw v Kap) and he was awful then. From recollection a complaint was lodged at that time too! Coincidence?

great win by kapunda, looks as though they are improving alot and adapting to milligans game plan
freeling very unlucky wouldve been the boost skipper and his charges needed but wasnt to be, look unlikely to get a win now, maybe barossa are emerging as a chance for freeling to get some points on the board
looking more and more like a tanunda/nuri G/F with both of them disposing of the biggest challengers quite comfortably on the weekend
duke/toronto? how long is harvey out for? heard the CST was trying to take out valentine last week and came off 2nd best. any word on when the forgotten man brenton bascombe is due to return? have heard its not his hammy anymore but sustained a new injury from his late night antics

all of these sour grapes and complaining about umpires is a detriment to this BLG thread. who cares how bad the umpiring is, they don't have blokes waiting in the wings to replace them so get over it.

Perhaps you can start a new thread about BLG umpires cause it has no place on here. There is only room on here for bagging coaches and players.

Come on PH! Who cares how bad umpiring is? EVERYONE CARES. If footy followers didn't care, the standard wouldn't improve. I agree the BL&G panel is fantastic, but when there is an issue, you don't stick your head in the sand, you say something (and DO something, as Freeling has).
This thread has covered many topics relating to the BL&G including tips, predictions, rumours, league issues, association games, the media and, yes, umpires.
It's all good!

No-mercy, its the u/17's crying over the umps not the senior side, and they have been doing well this season currently sitting 3rd with 6 wins. Good sign for the future. Did hear there was a bit of crying going on with the seniors saturday, but it was all afterwards behind closed doors. Quite emotional our game of footy. Good to see ya back, but keep up with the times if you can grinder!
