The iconic '70s star has died. After what I imagine must be one of the worst kinds of cancer at least she's now out of pain.

It's so strange how these famous deaths seem to occur very close together so that one overshadows the other. They often happen in threes as well - Fawcett, Jackson and Ed McMahon (Johnny Carson's sidekick). It inevitably means one or two of them won't get the send-offs they perhaps deserve.
