I suppose when you factor in injuries. Poor old bugger. 100 quality games though!

Hahaha - my mistake SD - your mob played sooo well in the big game at HOME in september didn't they - don't know what I was thinking really ..... record still shows HWE as the premiers for 2008 played at Mallala vs Mallala. Out coached maybe - many who are not on here to stroke your ego will say you choked

I think he went back to Rick's pub and put his left foot (all the good players are leftys!) in one of the ice buckets behind the bar! Can play the kid! For a young bloke who's still got another season in senior colts after this one, he reads the flight of the ball amazingly well. Pretty windy Sat'dy too. Between Dallas (Cowboy to his mates) and Shane McGuiness, they tore the Bombers to shreds in both games they played (oh to be fit enough to do that!). Pt Wakefield probably hasn't seen two kids with this much talent since the Cicolella's were young! Not sure how much we'll see of them in the future, I think Shane has already been playing some footy with the Eagles, and some cricket with West Torrens (I hate blokes like that, Ryan Darling and Jason Earl types!), so you never know. Sorry for the book, I do enjoy it when the young lads do well!

You been in contact with the Sunday mail Jack! Good to see them giving the league some publicity.

I’m not so sure Jumbo, I’m of the opinion that to “choke” you must be leading the competition for the majority of the season, then, be widely expected to win a finals series due to your dominance of the minor round, only to eventually lose the final series to another team. This does not sound like the United of the past few years. Unfortunately for the last paper purse, it does sound very much like Mallala in 2008.

I was referring more to the logic around the United win of 2 weeks ago - your definition of the choke sounds pretty good to me and is definitely more apt for a finals campaign.
