Think its Uri's turn to win the flag. Will play Hahndorf in the GF and Darren Loffler will take a mark in the dying seconds of the game and kick the winning goal!

Don't reckon Mt Lofty have dropped off that much, its just the others have caught up.

Agree that Blackwood are too reliant on Roche and Gigney.

Roosters are dreaming and think Onkas will take 5th spot.

Dashin I used the term veteran to describe those blokes ironically, meaning that in such a young side, if you are 26 years or older you are a veteran, relatively. I tend to think Lofty have dropped off a bit from seasons past. And I think the loss of Heath Cutts can't be underestimated for it's affect upon the side this year. THe new leaders are still growing into their roles and it hasn't helped having new skipper Pipes Stapleton out with injury. Cutts is a tough act to follow and Pipes is the perfect candidate for the job. Can't wait to have hime back smashing through packs in a couple of weeks.

I don't think Bradley will follow in the footsteps of the erratic Comer... wishful thinking by Noarlunga though.

Mt Lofty vs Blackwood Senior Colts match today ended in a draw. Tough match in damp conditions with countless stoppages.

Fiction
Mounts fixed up the "Aufdy" Tigers easily! Was there, pretty flat game but Aufdy was very good for the Tigers.

Gee havent Bridgy got great results from there Big Spend again! When will this club learn, Spent so much money to maybe move 1 spot up the ladder?

Although I'm a OV supporter, I'll admit that the Bridgy team yesterday was well down on talent, with a number of the "big spend" players on the sidelines. I saw Eckermann, Lancaster and Sam Flinn looking on from the dugout. I was also informed that Turner (is that the fullforward ?) and Healy (ex Sturt?) were also out injured. The one thing they are short of is depth. They can't cover having 5 players out.

The game itself was a strange one. Tough early and it was only just before half time when Onkas started to show some authority. As the game went on, the stronger we looked - the end result could have been even worse for the Raiders. Same guys as usual (Klun, Kirwan, Tanner) did the bulk of the damage. Was interesting to watch Brad DeVries struggle against his old club - he must be carrying an injury cause he's a much better player than he showed yesterday.

I'm willing to cut Bridgy some slack. I dont think anyone at the club was expecting to go from bottom to top in one year, and with so many top players missing, they're hard to judge at the moment.

yer i agree that everyone has been a bit harsh on bridgwater so far. i think they have improvedslightly and i think they have recruited better players and people this year then in years previous.

on saturdays games handorf were tested at times by a youthful ironbank team. they work hard for eachother and just have a crack, in a few years time with some more recruits they will b a good side. thought that handorf just had too much class all over the feild.

what happend in the lofty blackwood game? i see blackwood won but what was the story behind it? blackwod for mine are the sleeping giants and will compete with us late in september. their forward line seems to b very roach and gigney minded but it works with both those big blokes awesome in the air, gives them something to kick too. how players do lofty have to come back into the side?

i see uris flogged birdwood, no surprise they won but though it might have been closer. they looked like they have gained some valuable percentage uri in the fight for top 3 spot. do they have many to come back into their side either?

Almost a full strength side for Uri on the weekend. Young consistant defender Kyle Sutton was out due to uni exams, while danny smart is currently playin B grade to find some form (likely to be back up soon). Marcus Anderson successfully completed a return to hills footy after a full knee reconstruction and with a few more weeks in the B's would be in the mix for A's.

Yep, Uri's were a class above Birdwood on Saturday and smashed us pretty much all around the ground. Although we have picked up some really good players this year, it's our depth that we really need to work on now - we had a few out and were just unable to cover them.
Uri have a real chance at the premiership this year and with Blackwood beating Lofty, it could be any one of the top 4's trophy.
Finals footy this year will be some of the best the HFL have seen for a while.

There have been others Banker.

Very disappointing effort from Mt Barker as our boys only get two opportunites to play at home throughout the season. Bitter pill to swallow for a club to have to put on a C Grade game for 2 opposition clubs without being able to field their own side.

Both good thanks for asking, Tim Nick sore but ok, and reports on his Dad are good aswell, hope to see them both at the footy next week.
For those who want a tip on the mail medal Ironbanks ruckman Bradley is going to poll well, it is not often that a team gets beaten by 15 goals and the losing team has the BOG by a long way.

Nicholas copped a knee in the back (pretty decent one) in a marking contest and was in a fair bit of distress. He wasn't looking good for a bit and his dad had what appears to be an anxiety attack seeing his son go down and fainted. Both are ok.
