Surjan clearly the most successful of those I can think of as well. The rest just add up to a sorry line of forgotten players.
Anyone want to try to come up with a "walk out failures" team of the AFL era? Listing all the blokes who moved on to "better their career" in the big league only to find themselves not up to either.
Anyway, in all seriousness this is surely only a good thing for South. Aside from the distraction it will provide a boost in personnel without the club having to put in any resources like time and money they would for any other recruit. And obviously the kid can play, just a quesiton of whether he finds it or not. Although I would be telling the guy he has to start from scratch (Ie, reserves) and earn his league spot through saturday performances.
But will SANFL clubs soon start to steer clear of Power recruits? There are a few stories like this, and it robs the SANFL club of a competetive advantage.
