If you were new to the game, and only wanted to watch about a 5 minute patch or even less, you could just watch 2nd half injury time of Liverpools games. Goals galore

The guy who lived next door to me for many years (good bloke, too!) came from England and supported Stoke, so I decided to take a bit of interest in them. But I don't really mind who wins and loses, except would prefer that Man. U don't win again, it's boring having the same team strong, so perhaps I'll give Chelsea a bit of a cheer, as the seem to have a chance of knocking Man U off. Um, what was the question?? :?

Both my parents were born in the North West of England, my Mum in the Liverpool suburb of Dingle and my Dad in Wigan. They met working at Tesco's in Speke, Liverpool and eventually after courting for a couple of years were married in the church on the street where they lived, also in Speke (just down the road from John Lennon Airport).

My Dad grew up playing league, being from the city of Wigan it was the number one sport. My second cousin, Shaun Edwards, captained the side in the mid 90's. As far as football went, Dad followed Manchester United but not in a big way. He tried to get me to change when I was younger but it was never going to happen.

They emigrated to Australia in the early 70's. My Grandma (Mum's side) sent me my first kit when I was eight or nine and from that moment I was a Red for life. I've since been lucky enough to go to the UK a number of times and always get to Anfield whilst I stay with family on Merseyside.

Our family follow Sturt because when my Dad arrived in Adelaide, his first job was washing cars at a yard on West Terrace and one of the sales people was the late Bob Shearman. He got Dad to a couple of games and Dad was hooked. My whole family are one-eyed Double blue and we rarely miss the games unless work prevents.

Big fan of Henry Camara (Senegal) from 2002 World Cup.

As he was signed with Wigan when I began playing FIFA 07 on PS2 I just started playing as that team and I've stuck with Wigan since.

Bit late I know but here's my story.

Moved to Oz when I was 5. Didn't really follow football before I moved. Loved playing "soccer", mainly because I was crap at Aussie rules even though I love the game.
Dad was a Londoner but grew up in Buckingham so for some reason was a Luton Town fan. In those days you didn't get any soccer news except the FA cup final. Best memories then was Sunderland beating Leeds in the 73 final so I guess I have always had a bit (just a bit mind) of a soft spot for The Cats.
Anyway, for some unexplicable reason I decided on Leicester City. They had a decent side in those days. We moved back to the UK in 74 to Accrington in Lancashire and even them I was going to follow Leicester, until I found out how bloody far away they were, so I decided that it would either have to be b4st4rds or Burnley as both were about 4 miles from where I lived.
I checked out the guernseys, b4st4rds had / have this horrible blue and white halved monstosity, and at the time Burnley played in a Claret top with a big blue Vee. Two big deciding factors then, nice colours and, being a North fan when they played in the Viccy Vee, Burnley's seemed to follow the same lines, so that was that.

Started following the clarets in 74/75 season. Followed then hone and away without fail for maybe 10 years, then just every home game from then on. Stood in the same place on the famous Longside Terrace for maybe another 10 years (all my kids were brought up sitting on the same crush barrier) and then moved to the Bob Lord stand when they tore down the Longside and had the same seat for another 10 years. then got a private box in the hospitality suites 3 years ago and next season will be my 4th year in there. Box 7 by the way.

My dad started to follow Sturt when we first came to Oz. He even painted his car in two tone blue (by hand at that, bloody idiot  ). We wilved in Salisbury because my Dad worked up at Woomera so he used to fly out of Edinburgh and it was easy to get to from home.

When he realised how many poms followed Centrals he switched to them, so I followed North just to p1ss him off. Been with North ever since and care about them as much as I care about Burnley

Poor excuse JTC ;). Mind you, other than this years promotion to the Premier League, you would have had about the same frustration following the Clarets as you would have if you had stuck with Leicester!

Mines will sound dopey. Growing up I went for Liverpool only because i just did. When i went to Adelaide High a group i hung out with all said who they went for and this guy who didn't like me said Liverpool so i just said Bolton. Later that year I got a Bolton Card in a showbag and supported them since. I got a flag, scarf, shirt I love Bolton.

come to think of it i'm a bit of a tart...

i played soccer as a kid from about the age of 8 and all my mates were Man Utd fans, so i just jumped on tha bandwagon. then about 3 years later we had a carnival at my club (Munno Para) and my team wore West Ham guernseys, since no-one i knew supported West Ham i decided to change my loyalties. then soon after i realised West Ham were rubbish so i ended up not aligning myself with anyone really and just loved watching the 1 hour highlights show on SBS and a replay here and there. after a while i got involved with playin footy and my loe for the English game grew cold as AFL took over and i almost cut ties with the great game. then last year i got an invite to a fantasy football comp and thought why not, this got me involved in the game again and then when i was at work i was lookin at the table and saw that Hull were dominating early and Stoke were strugglin a bit and my mate decided to jump on Hull so i got on Stoke! i love an underdog and they seemed perfect.

i also have a soft spot for Ipswich Town and the only reason for that is they were a team that i used to play as on FIFA 07 i reckon and one day they beat my best mate in a cup final so i gave him heaps.... pretty childish really!!!

Hahaha, yes, yes you are!!!!

That's quite an interesting story. Sounds like you've changed teams nearly as often as you have underwear!!! Just kidding mate. Unfortunately for you, I'd say Stoke are up against it this year.

I have to say ever since wimbeldon got moved like an american franchise and became mk dons and the new wimbeldon team was started by the fans of the old club and became AFC Wimbledon I have taken an intrest in them cause I think it was wrong what happen to them and would like to see them back up where they belong.

The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas
