Has become one of the biggest names in the greyhound fraternity
The first time I took notice of Ray was when he had that brilliant Brookside breed running
Now he has those sensational dogs Aston Trivett and Aston Volante running interstate
Borda puts in an enourmous amount of $$$ into the industry including generous sponsorship
Ray is the Mr Stimulus
We have chatted a couple of times at APK, a nice bloke
Borda is the man behind Macro Meats at Athol Park [about 2kms from APK, and about 1km from where I used to live]
A big seller in his business is Kangaroo meat, which you will see in SA supermarkets
Roo meat can reduce blood pressure, high in Iron, Zinc and Protien
Roo meat is popular and exported to some European countries
There are about 50 million roos in oz, and the great man is making $$$$ with his unique business
The consumption of roo meat in Oz is approx less than 5%
Macro meats sells 200 tinnes of roo meat a week , and is expected to double after renovations are done at the Athol pk factory
Borda says that productivity has gone up 30% in the last 6 months
How did the great man start ?
He used to sell roo meat for pet food in the last millenuim
The owners of the pet food started eating it, and in turn told Ray how good his roo meat tasted !!!
Borda then sold it for human consumption
This took the attention of aniMAL activists who opposed the practice
Borda was threatened physically and had bomb threats at his Athol pk joint
The rest is history his business is 'booming'
Well done Roo Ray
QUESTIONS
Who eats Roo meat ?
I have , no probs
A snack bar I would frequent last century had the best steak sangas Ive ever tasted
Owned by Bob at Arndale
I asked him how he got his meat to taste so well
He told me it was roo meat
Yum !
Does anyone else eat it ?
GREYHOUNDS QUESTION
Is it better for hounds to eat Roo meat or more traditional red meats ?
HEALTHIER
Is it healthier than other red meats ?
It appears so

1 - 1 looks well placed to be right in the finish, if it leads it wins - unplaced
3-1 - wins $3.10 - $1.70
4-2 - unplaced
5-1 - if utilises early speed can win - 2nd - $1.80
6-4 - runs upto its last start should win - wins $1.80

Race 12345 no bets as we have in each race an unknown Interstate dog 1st up at AP
R1-3 trialled well at Gawler recently
R6-4 Satanic Cash was a good Maiden debut last week, ran on well
Form should hold up as beat My Mate Sammy, who let me down yesterday , grrrrrrrrrr
R7 Interesting race
I think [1]Quay side [7] Diana Bale are the 2 best winning hopes
[3] Sparrow Baz could be a place hope in this
[8] Cool Evening might improve ...
NTD so perhaps a Trifecta 17/3/f + 17/f/3 for an interest
No bets today
