On appeal, it was reduced to seven.

In his return season, he was again reported for striking (4 games), and got 6 games the following year- again for striking.

Don't you think they'd learn?

sounds like a certain player from central united i.e. thommo who comes back from a suspension and then gets another ban the first week hes back

At Noarlunga today after the U/18 game, the (I suppose it was) umpires coach was telling one of the umpires ( in the players race outside the door to the umpires room) about some of the decisions and positioning he was making, when he made this comment to you young lad, and I quote, " It wouldnt hurt if you were to get your hair cut as well".unquote. Tell me this, what right has he got to tell anyone how to groom himself ,the lad did have a good head of hair and I would expect that anyone who had been running around the ground for 2 hours would not exaxctly look like ex Glenelg player Gibbs.

Anybody who ever intentionally strikes a umpire, should have a life ban in my eyes, end of story.
And the issue of young umpires umpiring senior games, i know of 4 in the Southern Footy League (one being a girl) who do a fantastic job every week ive seen them, and these young umpires are all under 20. If they have the abilty to be there, there is no issue at all.
