99% Honda. Evan after Honda pulled out it was still Hondas people that built the car. Will be interesting to see how they go next year when they have to build their own car without the $600m budget behind them.



Well if Max and Bernie get their new rules up they should be able to cope very easily.


on another note currently watching Le Mans 24 hour on 1HD, Torro Rosso have released Sébastien Bourdais to race this weekend. Not most drivers are allowed to compete in both, in the same year. Also a fair few ex drivers are getting a gig too.


Fair bit of drama in the first hour of a 24hr race... Shocking mistake by the pit crew. I'm loving ONE HD!

Hamilton is struggling this year for the same reason Webber has struggled in the past. If you havent got the car, you have no chance. Sadly this years championship has been handed to Brawn on a plate, by teams not being allowed to do any testing. The team that was the best at the start of the year was always going to stay strong.


I think it's fantastic to see Brawn doing so well problably one of the best brains formula one has ever seen. Considering the team only got permission to race just before the start of the season.

Big news in F1... Looks like there will be a rival series in 2010. Bernie and Max stand to look like a couple of idiots with no credible team besides Williams in their championship...

This weekends race should be Webber's best shot yet at a breakthrough GP win. The Redbull should be the best car out there... He's very quick in practice...

He still has to beat his team mate though, and Vettel looks like a future world champ for mine. Consistently quicker than Webber in practice so far this year, though Mark has outfoxed his young rival on race day several times, whilst not being generally as quick.

You're right though - Red Bull quickest in both Friday sessions at Silverstone: http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/6/9518.html

But I think you'll find that Brawn were concentrating on race setup in Practice 2. Red Bull and Brawn very evenly matched in terms of speed over a single lap IMO. The trick for Red Bull is to keep that pace over an entire race distance.

Gotta love Silverstone. I remember when Keke averaged 150mph around there in '85 or '86. Unfortunately after the circuit revamp we'll never see those speeds again.

On a side note: Bruno Senna and Nicolas Prost for F1 seats next year PLEASE...Imagine that. We'd have a Senna, Prost, Rosberg, Nakajima and Piquet (if he lifts his game) all in F1 again...ah the memories...

Talk about hero to zero!

Certainly not indicative of his talent though...

Would love to know what the odds were on him winning back to back championships prior to Melbourne 09...

Ignorant comment... He's second fastest in Q1 and ahead of his team mate... Stick to commenting on sports you have some idea of... (i.e. ballroom dancing)...

Correction!

Martin Brundle just said it was a 160mph average speed lap... (that's an average speed of 257 kmh!)

Vettel quicker than Webber predictably. But how was Kimi at the end of the Hanger Sraight?! Mark should be furious - he lost his chance at pole right there!

Naka outqualified Nico. He seems to do that on fast tracks though. Well done to Trulli too.

Button struggling, Rubens I hope he does well.

Very true. Kimi is a wierd unit... A world champ but doesn't seem to be all there in the head... Definitely cost Webber a couple of tenths and he's rightfully pissed off. The race will be interesting... I expect that Vettel will (and to a certain extent should) get any preferantial treatment so far as strategy is concerned, so it will be tough for Webber to beat him...

Agree with that. Kimi has been dissapointing for more than a season now. I mean, Massa was never a slouch, but now he beats Kimi rather consistently. But Kimi is supposedly a WC??

Regardless of what car you're in, it's team mate Vs team mate. And Kimi has been "losing" overall.
