Sturt have been really good this year but North seem to have our measure after the first game and now have us mentally wrapped around their finger after today's effort (or lack thereof).

I didn't see nor hear the game today but the banter about "bags of goals" and how "bad" Chambo is is just purile and so unusual. If I want to read "your team is better than my team" garbage I'll go to Bigfooty.com.

I think it might be some pay back for the way Strut supporters carried on last week, after beating the Dogs when they didn't have a fit bloke on the bench after 15 mins. I guess it's a case of winners are grinners, the rest can please themselves.

p.s. Chambo does look average against North alot of the time. Does that mean North aren't that bad?

Didn't North play West today? It was a bit confusing they were in blue jumpers. Got that joynt out yer mouth yet TSG?

Quite right. North were average today, should have won by more against such poor opposition.

It either takes great courage or immense stupidity to suggest a team that just beat the top team by 15 goals is not in the hunt :)

North have some great players this year. They'll be around the place... Don't write off the Blues on one performance though... Hands up who wrote off the Bulldogs after last week?

I don't think anyone is writing off the Blues, that would be stupid as well. I was merely responding to a comment that North should enjoy their win because they are not in the hunt. Anyone with the forward potential of North has to be taken seriously.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you had... It was more a comment for those particular North supporters who, through their comments, suggest that Sturt are no longer a force to be reckoned with after todays effort...

Well done to North today, they totally outplayed, out kicked and out marked Sturt comprehensively. The 2009 season has been turned on it's head in the last 2 weeks, until Centrals can turn their poor form of 2 losses in a row (one a smashing) then stay in your seats. Until Sturt can get another win against a top 5 contender, same for us, and until North can consistently beat top 5 contenders then sit down also, apart from beating Sturt twice, you've beaten Port, Norwood, South and West. At least we've smashed 2 teams in the top 5. Big wake up call to the Double Blues, hopefully we can turn it around for next week, I'm not very hopeful though. Seems that the Bays are the form team at the moment. Good performance today North.

You dont win anything in June people,i seem to remember the doggies getting pumped last year by the Eagles and North all you should be looking for is a top 3 finish. It seems to me that teams are pumping themselves up to play the doggies then having severe let downs the following week, its up to North now to back it up next week against the Dogs(they will never have a better chance with the Dogs out of form and having some injury concerns).

Don't know of any Blues supporters talking about premierships in june Akka, I think Sturt supporters were just enjoying a good win against a good side and an old foe.

Nah, he didn't kookas. Apparently he was in quarantine too, given he shares a house with Richard Douglas, so had to pull out this morning

Well, that was fun after enjoying all of last week. The contrast in both performances was unbelievable. Taking nothing away from North, they were sensational and from the boundary look like a massive side, height and bulk.
We just really didn't look switched on from the first minute, didn't go in hard, all the things we did last week. Maybe a bit intimidated by the size of the North players.
Also interesting was the fact that our ressies were comprehensively beaten also.
All week i've heard that North haven't played well on there home deck, certainly fixed that up today didn't you. Congrats.
Think I said it to a few people today, I would love my team to not have any hoodoo teams. Was the Eagles for ages, then it was and still is the Bays, now I guarentee you we can add North to the list (not counting Central as they punish most teams, most of the time).
Hopefully we can stop being the Bays bitches this friday ;) but i've got nothing to go by as one week we were so good, the next so bad, which Sturt will show up?

We brought in Kristen Thonmpson, a young fella from the ressies to replace him, didn't turn out too bad as youn Kristne played well and the Ressies monstered the top side too. :D
