Last purchased album would've been in about 1998'ish Regurgitator Unit. Still love it to this day.

Got 'Harry's Reasons' and 'AO. Mod. TV. Vers.' by Spy V Spy on vinyl in the mail from eBay today. Good Aussie rawk!

Mine:

Ladytron - Witching Hour

Not as good as the band's first 2 albums. Less kitschy and poppy. Sounds like it was aimed more at goth/emo kids with a penchant for the Pet Shop Boys.

I liked it better than their second, maybe not as much as the first. Their new one Velocifero is pretty good too

OK Zipper....

Ladytron - Velocifero

Very much in the same vein as Witching Hour; very darkwave. Thus far I'd rate it marginally higher than Witching Hour. To my mind Witching Hour falls over after the first 4 tracks. Velocifero is more consistent, though the highs don't quite reach the same lofty peaks as those on Witching Hour. The 'dark' style comes off a lot better on Velocifero too.

Regardless, both albums are inferior to Light And Magic & 604, which are stylistically quite different.

Also aquired this month:

Cut Copy - In Ghost Colours

A bit disappointing thus far, though it may yet grow on me. I ultimately loved the previous album (Bright Like Neon Love) although it took several listens to fully appreciate. Everything I've read about the two albums suggests that In Ghost Colours is by far the better of the two, but I disagree. Bright Like Neon Love had a real updated-70s-disco retro feel to it. In Ghost Colours sounds like updated-90s-club music.

Finally got the latest release (2007) from these UK punk stalwarts. As good as their old stuff, they haven't lost any of their punch \m/

Triclops Out Of Africa....ummm, I'm still getting my head around this album. Some tripped out punk, eerie vocals and disturbing but poignant lyrics @-) @-) @-)
