Also we're looking for an oval somewhere between Adelaide and Gawler, preferably smaller than average and if possible under lights to hire. Any ideas?

My old man has worked there for 20 years and although I have never worked there, I managed to get a "late call up" to play because my Uncle, who also worked there and shares the same initial and surname as me, was a late withdrawal so I was able to step up and play under his name.
Was a great day, well organised with food and grog served up before, during and after the game and was a lot of fun. I actually ended up getting BOG, kicking 4 goals and taking a hanger over my old man !! Even got a trophy with my initial and surname on it as I was playing under an alias as my uncle with the same initial and surname![]()
Will be great fun if you can organise a venue. Another suggestion could be Kilburn Oval. They have great lights for night footy and while the oval isn't as small as Ovingham's, it isn't the size of Elizabeth Oval or anything and has good facilities there with food, beverage and pokies.
Good luck with it mate and just remember, if you have anyone withdraw from either side late, send me a PM and I will pull on a jumper

the Ovingham oval would do the job. the lighting is decent enough for that kind of thing and the size would suit the lazy blokes to a tee!
