TT, sucking up to umpires will not win you any games.
You've seen a lot of footy in your time in higher divisions than 5 and I reckon you might be stretching it a bit by saying "the fairest reserves umpire you've had the pleasure to watch". That puts blokes like Obst & Braunack to shame, you crawler!!!

he was nto banned for life, he was done for 15 weeks, probably didn't help that he didn't show up to the tribunal, unfortunately i have no control over that. Also i don't cheat, if anyone knows who i am on here they'll know i don't cheat. More often than not i get the opposition coach coming up to me after the game shaking my hand telling me that i'm the best club umpire they've had, then i go back to our camp and i get dirty looks coz i never cheat like most other club umpires (knowingly or not) do.

May not be in the Rule Book but 15 is Life in the SAAFL, actually it's 12+. Not your fault that "you don't cheat like most other club umpires do". Well how about that, an honest ump.
Keep playing that fiddle pal, we're all listening.

think you will find aceman when i was coaching reserves footy apart from 2 years it was all club umps including the great rule book against uni div1res .when safl umpires did have my sides they were learners in green tops with an experienced ump eg barry lewis. so yes i think he was one of the better ones. and aceman just for your info i try not too slag them altho at times it is very hard to bite the tongue i must admit. and the last time i crawled to anyone was you for you to buy me a beer.

Rupert, yes there are honest club umpires out there and unfortunately they are under pressure from their own clubs "to even up" when their club is playing against a 'suss' ump

Look guys, my appologies, it certainly wasn't meant to be a tyre pumping session. Anyway hopefully as of this saturday i'm back being a player, so i can hate all the orange maggots like you guys!

The original post was not meant to be a spiteful one, just that a guy got 15 weeks.

Also forgive me if i'm wrong but i don't think that he got life because i wasn't aware that the 15+ or 12+ rule or whatever it is was in force back then, unless they enforced it retrospectively and booted out the guys that had accrued the weeks previously.

Anyway, lets get on with it. As i said before, my appologies. I have got too many real life arguments going on at the moment to worry about any cyber ones.

No i don't think so, the only reason why i chucked the orange shirt on this year was to lose a couple of kilo's so i could play again. It didn't work but i'm going to play anyway!!!

Look out CBC in C4 this week!

If PFC's other umpire is unavailable i may have to do it though.

Where did you blokes find this info?? How did the Ovies bloke go??
Well thats why they changed it because he couldnt. Probably shouldnt have bothered changing it, not sure if it will matter if he is there or not after that case :(

Elma got off the striking charge.

The 'contact' your player made is quite different to the contact the Saints player made, judging from descriptions on here. Although I still think they will be heavy handed, even on a squirt of water and tip of a cap.

The penalty they have handed down so far basically says that under NO circumstances is deliberate contact to be made with an umpire.

The tribunal decision with the st pauls bloke is a bit confusing at the end of the day, how does he get a 2 1/2 year ban but is still eligible to play again, yet the paralowie player from last year is suspended for less than half the amount of games, but is banned for life??? am i missing something here, please correct me if im wrong :?

My guess would be that he can play again in 2012, but not in the SAAFL
