Sam Harvey Wins Rd 10 Macca's Cup MVP Nomination
10/06/2009

Sam Harvey from Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is the Round 10 Macca’s Cup Most Valuable Player nominee.

Playing in the forward pocket, Harvey was instrumental in the Eagles’ victory over Norwood last Saturday.

His match statistics included seven goals, seven behinds and 24 possessions.

Judges said he looked dangerous throughout the match and showed excellent creativity over the four quarters. His strong marking was a feature and his seven-goal haul was a great return for his efforts.

Congratulations to Sam, I have seen this kid grow up from U/9's at Port districts through to now the U/18's. He did start his development football with Port but didnt realise until the U/15's that he was in the Eagles zone.

He is a very dangerous forward. Needs to do some work on the defensive side of his game, but is very dangerous.
Interesting he started the season at Henley and couldnt get a game with the Eagles.

No real need for him to slim down, just needs to get fit enough to run all day.

He would be up there with the best set of marking hands that I have seen.
