It certainly is Brag.

Great bloke as well as a good player. Is quite a good ruckmen as well. But the last few years has been playing in the backlines for Barossa District. CHB of FB.

Think you will find that one S. Nunan is in Darwin at the moment and arrives back on Thursday. And being the only invitee to the HFL squad means that he will be playing on Saturday.

How Jaques got BOG is beyond me. Wouldnt be surprised if BL&GFL best was one of their ruckman, because they won every tap. P magarey best IMO, lucky he only managed to just scrape in there.

i couldnt agree more, absolutely smashed in the hit outs the hills were, i wouldnt have had jacques in my top 10 for hills

What about Brad Pearce, Silky? Kicking 3 off the wing.

Agreed Jaques was serviceable but not in the top dozen...

Couger, to me Brad Pearce looked well off the pace in the 1st half but he seemed to adapt to the faster pace and i was impressed with his 2nd half. Brad should seriously look at playing Div 1 or he may regret not playing at the higher standard.

Did hear from someone (not from Kersbrook) suggesting he was best, but the Kersbrook crowd thought Jacques was good and the Birdwood pair of McGahey and Krieg were pretty slick.

I'll take a stab and suggest that I don't reckon Brads has too many regrets about not playing Div 1. He's not even 25 and has 2 Mail Medal, plus a premiership medal with a lot of his mates he grew up with. And with his old man still prez at Kersbrook the only way he'll play Div 1 is if Kersbrook head up again, but they've got get a few things right (Juniors etc etc) before contemplating that move.

Another big weekend of footy this weekend lads...
2 games in particular should be of great interest.
Onkas vs Hahndorf should be interesting with Onkas alot better than most expected, although Hahndorf really starting to gel nicely. Hahndorf by a couple in a ripper game.

really looking forward to our contest with the Barkeroos. These are the kind of games we need to win if we want to play finals footy this year. I heard that Mt. Barker get a couple of players back, and our courgeous captain is struggling with a rather nasty injury.

Lofty should run all over Bridgy's, especially if bridgy's lose those players who didn't play association.

Uraidla all over Ironbank. Uraidla are my tip for premeirs this year (behind us of course ;) ). They look like they're really coming together nicely.

Blackwood of Lobethal by plenty of goals. Gigney to kick 10 i reckon!

decent tap ruckman, nothing amazing around the ground. hot temper gets him in trouble, and never really showed any great sign of being a great team man eg. not coming to games when injured and so on.

From the GSFL thread:
Been or being cleared to Bridgewater so I've heard. Apparently it wasn't Coxy's preferred club but Bridgewater's application was first so that is the way it went. Got to love that...........Nice work Encounter Bay.

Why would any club want this bloke after he's been to soooo many clubs in the past 2-3 years???

Especially Bridgy, with their history of losing recruits after a year or two - surely Bridgy don't think they are going to get more than a year or so (if that!!) service from this guy????

Why would you bother???

Plus considering they have a rotation system for their recruits due to being over the points, why bother?

Looks like Uri's will be even better with rick playing with them as well. Great for the three of them to be playing together! Know them all and are all great lads!

It would be very interested to know how many "locals are left" up at Uris. Locals as in grew up in the area. When you include Eberts x 3, macleans x 2, cam staples, tim martin, sutherland, ebel (if still playing), anderson and loffler (old skool). Can't remember any more.....

Good on uri's though for keeping these players for a number of years now! That is the best way to beat the point system and provide a good atmosphere around the club!

By keeping the recruits together, you start to build up a traditional at the club, in what Lofty have managed to do. Wonder if the latest movers (Hahndorf) can keep their list of players together for a few more years. ;)

yer still quite a few locals, with no ebel and staples. staples away with work and ray is an assistant. still have locals like, pridham, cox x3, browns x 2 pucka, thomas, tudor tsortos, sutton, moulds, and young blokes like wotton, kluvenek, kepa, parker getting plenty of a grade games. and then the loffers and andersons have been there for 7 yrs abouts.
