Well said REB. I wish my team had half the young blokes Freo have at the moment. Not easy beats this year.

Freo are falling over all over the place. Apparently Ballantyne, who would have been making his debut, pulled up sore after a short session at AAMI yesterday.
That would bring up 1st emergency in Hinkley. Not possible as he's popped a shoulder at training at AAMI yesterday. They've rushed Murphy over to take the next emergency spot in case Hill doesn't come up. Not exactly a good swap for Hill as Murphy hasn't shown anything since 06.
Dockers can't take a trick at the moment.

Why did Port take Davenport out of the Sanfl and play Westoff instead

Not a bad quality game to watch. Good atmosphere at the ground considering the crowd ws only just over 18,000.
Both teams have some good youngsters and once Freo get 30 to 40 games into the yong lads they'll be quite good.
Port stepped up when they needed to. Thurstans had a decent return game and a few players that have been down came good. Pearce is chopping the ball up really bad still, missing targets by a long way.
Both teams have a good future once they stop having sleepy periods.
Hate to say it but I enjoy Port crowds much better than Crows crowds. Seem just as loud as 40,000 at Crows games without the high pitched squealing from the 14 year olds and nannas ;)

I think the game showed we're closer to the bottom 8 sides than we are to the top 8, unfortunately. Surjan played well again and hopefully his courage and never say die attitude can start to rub off on a few of his teamates. Good atmosphere at the ground as always.

I thought Surjan played well myself with 25 posessions & he was one thats not afraid to lay a tackle ( 7 ) like Casissi ( 10 ) but was not named in the best players in todays paper, was that Fjeldstad's best players?

will almost certainly finish bottom 8 the way they are playing atm. Have watched them closely this season and their skills under pressure are just not up to standard.
Its frightening to think how much they will br beaten by in their next few matches against Bulldogs and Geelong. Hope i'm wrong but i'm just being honest.

Was that former Norwood hard man Troy Clements as one of the runners for the Power last night with Arnie ???

Why wasn't Stuart Cochrane in his usual role doing this ???

i was at the game and the crowd was a joke.. not only was it quite, some people just kept yelling out abuse to the players.. it amazes me how many people know so much about footy sitting in hte crowd. i have been to crows games and i must say i can see why people think port supporters are feral

Yes, I've occasionally wondered whether that is why they struggle for numbers - only the ferals and those who love Port enough to tolerate their behaviour will go... ;)

I think your right there mate. I feel Port and the Crows are closer to the bottom 8 than top 8. But hey anything could happen later in the season.

Sorry, I thought that was obviously lighthearted enough to not qualify as a troll.. I don't intend to say any more about it.
I watched the match on TV and quietly barracked for Port - I usually support them when they are not playing the Crows.
That comes from my years in Victoria when I supported them because they were at least from SA.

The comment I wrote about enjoying Port crowds better than Crows was because i've never been spat on at a Port v Carlton game but I have been at a Crows v Carlton game, never had my wife jumped on by 10 feral chicks at Port v Freo game but it has happened to her at a Crows v Freo game.
Not so much of the high pitched squealing that you hear at Crows games either.
I did have to laugh at some girls outside the ground who were standing in a puddle talking about how hot Tredders is  WTF? ;)
