He has really turned the corner the last few weeks! Today he was so confident attacking the goals.

He is one of a younger group including Vince, Mackay, Douglas & Symes who have played 2-3 years or so and capable of stepping up to another level, but haven't quite done so yet. He, Vince and Mackay are starting to look like quality AFL players.
In between signatures .....

I don't know what's more disturbing.
1. That he's somehow on a website like that or,
2. That you've found him on a website like that.

No arguments from me FD88, have been a fan of Knighta since he arrived and ended up at Woody Oval thru the mini draft, may his and the teams good form continue!
Trust the process.

Yeah, nah. I googled "Chris Knights" in order to get his footwire page and a picture of his girlfriend came up.

He really has been playing well since moving up forward, he really gives the crows something up forward with that massive left leg. I think he kicked one from inside the square yesterday.

He seems to be working well up forward. I mean what has he kicked in the last 3 weeks, something like 15 goals

16 goals in last 4 games, 2 against Bris, 5 Carl, 4 Haw, 5 Ess. Coming into some form one would think 8)
Adelaide have found a couple of good small forwards in Porps and Knights who are both good overhead, getting the ball, crumbing off the packs and kicking for goal. Not to mention they are both servicable in the midfield.

A fit Porps in much more than serviceable in the midfield. He isn't really fit right now.

That is true, I guess if they can have a big man like Tippett working well up forward then it gives these guys a lot of opptunity for work around them. I just hope Tippett can really step up into that role as he has the ability to become a really great player. Anyone that tall that moves the way be can is something special.

It's been a long time since Kernahan has played so maybe my comparison is wrong and I know that Kernas played at CHF mostly but there's something about Tippett that reminds me of Kernas, it's not the No. 4 and Tippetts kick is better, (better looking off the boot). Can't put my finger on it, I'll probably get howled down for it.

Considering Tippett probably doesn't reach optimum strength and size for a few more years yet, he has an exceptional future in front of him .. I think the most impressive of his qualities is just his natural competitive spirit (for mine anyway).

There are some similarities with sticks at a young age, if he can develop into half as good a player then he'll have a very good career.

Knights has been a revelation this season ... Before the season commenced most pundits (myself included) were wondering where the Crows goals would come from, but now with a mix of Tippett, Walker, Dangerfield, Porplyzia, Knights there's a bit of firepower up there.

Continue to be very impressed with Mackay and Otten, both of whom I thought did very well again yesterday (despite what the boys on AA thought).

Chris looked promising early in his career, then seemed to lose form and his disposal seemed to be erratic.
At times he seemed indecisive, and tended to handball or kick to players already under pressure as a result.
He certainly has struck form now, and I guess being closer to goal makes the disposal decisions easier! ;)

Very good form for someone who was selected at no.56 in the 2004 AFL draft behind such luminaries as Ryan Willitts, Jesse Wells, Matthew Little, James Ezard, Damien McCormick, Luke Blackwell, David Spriggs, etc.

It would be interesting to get the club's perspective on the Porps situation, if they haven't given it already. We all know he was going to be up against it to have a barnstorming first half of the season, but can we expect him to hit his straps on the run home?

I think if he was fit he would have gone a bit earlier, from memory, there was quite a bit of doubt on his body, can't remember what it was exactly, shoulder or leg. The Crows did well to take the risk. Port did the same with Trengove in the last draft, whether that gamble pays off will be known in another 2 or 3 years.

How many of those goals have been outside 50m if anyone has stats for that? Seems to be the majority from what i've seen.

Fair point - guess it's along the lines of Judd in '01 draft when he was probably considered best prospect but slipped to 3 behind Hodge and Ball 'cos of shoulder issues.
