Eagles are very average, and will not do a lot at the business end of the year. Centrals must have had an off week.Go you legggggs! :)

Shocking! The Eagles had 3 goals halfway through the first term and didn't kick another until just before the final siren. Norwood could have won by plenty more such was their dominance. It's hard to tell what happened. Besides McKenzie, who was our only decent player, the only players who were getting the ball were our fringe players who turned it over every time.

Just not good enough and not the first time in the last few years Norwood have dominated against us. There was no team effort out there today at all.

To say the Eagles are an average side it being kind - they are an embarrassing rabble - it's time to do a Terry Wallace Fuller and retire now - 90% of eagles supporters think your a joke. How players such as daniel, schulz and cullen could ever make it onto a SANFL list let alone play league football is something fuller should explain because i'm not going to another game until these hacks are dropped.

I fear that result confirms that Indian SP bookies have infiltrated the SANFL

I can only shake my head myself. Perhaps there were some players out there who got big heads after last week. Not McKenzie, for sure. The entire Norwood team needs to be congratulated on their performance, they didn't take any notice of any predictions on here.

Changes need to be made for the next match, because it would be wrong not to drop anyone after this non-effort.

But it was basically the same side as last week, how does that work? I know for certain that Passador, Salter, Cheep, Rimmington and Robert Fiacchi should all be elevated next match.

You better believe it alright - I wasn't the only one who saw it happen. ;)

In fact, I think about 10 of the Reserves team should be in the League side. Expectations were realised there:

Eagles 4.2 14.7 16.7 21.11 (137)
Norwood 2.3 3.3 7.5 10.5 (65)

I might not go to another game this year so that today remains my lasting image!!

I know we always play much better during the day than at night, and I know the Eagles were down today, but I seriously didn't see that coming, not even an inkling - Thought there was a chance at best we would be more competitive than we have been, but still expected to drop the points.

Last week means nothing now, not being able to back it up

Agree McKenzie was our only decent player. His workrate was phenomenal.

Others? Thought Corbett, Hier, Stewart and Broadbent put in and had the odd moment. But the rest should divvy up their match payments and share them amongst the supporters who had to watch that.

But congrats to Norwood. They played a committed, harder and faster running brand of footy. Their run off half-back and through the centre with numerous players being prepared to run every time was a lesson for our stop-start, reactive footy.

Remember last years win against Central and the thread I started? It's been done again, and that lesson fell on deaf ears.

No, CP, Centrals were down last week and we took advantage of that. Eagles were piss-poor today, and not willing to challenge a committed Norwood side - though I'm definitely not trying to infer that the Eagles lost it instead of Norwood winning it.

Nah, don't Spelly, but agree, it's a lesson not learnt, and we as supporters deserve to be angry about that.

Why are people getting into Norwood here? If anyone's form should be questioned it's the Eagles. 67 point loss to Sturt, 20 point loss to West, 75 point loss to Norwood .. and in between, a win over reigning premier and undefeated team Central.

Don't think there are too many Eagles supporters not questioning our form now - you would have hoped those Sturt and West losses were a bit of a blip and we got back on track last week, but an effort like today's certainly confirms we have a lot of work to do.

But, AH, I thought it was mainly the Norwood supporters questioning their club over the last few weeks. I, for one, certainly hadn't written them off, and I posted that in the thread about the final five being set this week.

How am I "getting into*" Norwood? Just saying they were sensationally backed with the bookies and they duely saluted like good things :?

After joining up as a member of the Eagles during the week, I was very dissapointed with the performance of "my" side today ;)
