LuvsFooty wrote:We keep talking about who's in and who's out and there are a heap of names been thrown around. The fact is a lot of guys aren't interested! The other point is, we are mentioning names like Griffen, Thomas and Ewer. I am pretty sure they are all over 25 and there is a limit how many we can have.

Anyway the U15's are ready to go. Here is the line up

Brodie Matherson (LC), Lachlan Clegget (LC), Chris Barnes (GPE)
Patrick Acton (MC), Darcy Hourigan (ST), Mitchell McRostie (VH)
Scott Olgivie (MYP) Rhyce Deacon (GPE), Tyson Young (EB)
Joel Addis (W), Dylan Stanton-Gordge (MC), Alex Clegget (LC)
Kurt Linder (VH), Reil Colwell (W), Harrison Gabrielson (MYP)

Ruck

Brock Godwin-Knott (GPE)
Sam Taggart (EB)
Sam Tregenza (MYP)

Int

Bradley Clarke (MYP)
Jack Scudds (MC)
Sean Davis (MC)
Satish Lawson (GPE)

Captain is Sam Tregenza with Joel Addis as the vice. Goolwa / Port Elliot, Myponga and Mount Compass have the largest representation with 4 players while Yankalilla and McLaren are the 2 clubs that have no one involved.

Your starting the great Barry Clarkes son on the bench  You'd want to make sure your in the A's next time you play Pongy  Young Trigger is a good young player, great skills.

I did wake up with the head of a fresian cow in my bed this morning. Bradley is on the bench because unlike his dad he doesnt get up early and milk and he doesnt run to training, so i was worried about his work rate. Webb is injured but that wont be the final team. I would have Jason Cowling (22 goals in 8 matches) at full forward ahead of Basham (7 goals in 8 matches). Cowling also kicked 51 last year.

Basham has only had 2 games up forward so far this year as he has been used down back for us but is a genuine good forward.

I think you contradicted yourself the TW. Not having a go at Basham because I have seen him play a great game this year at full back on White but "genuine forwards" dont play 6 out of 8 games at full back. Maybe he could be fullback?

Yea I left myself wide open for that one, he has being playing full back due to having Dale and Pitto down forward.

Yeah you would of been skirting the pack keeping well away from tom blum!!!! You hero!!! Blum is a heaps better player then you! You have a big mouth though i will give you that!!!

The bays need to have a good look at what they are doing, the coach is twat and the players I spoke to said they wish he would F off! No one listens to him and it seems like they coach them selves and tell him what they are going to do, Blum was up to his usal tricks and trying to hit people dirty and thinks he is a hero for belting people half his size. Dale Ellis tought him a football lesson, then when Blum went into ruck Sammy J was all over him with ease.

At least vision is a good tool! Also a gd bloke!!!!
BJ Ernest wrote:Spot on Vision, ur a tool! ;)

Association training last night was really good! Slippery conditions at Strathalbyn and the boys were very clean and skilled in them. With 24 players out there last night and i believe 5-6 phone calls saying they will be attending Thursday it looks as if for once we will actually have to cut some players to make the final side. That can only be a good thing for Saturdays trip to Mypolonga.

What do clubs get up to when the boys have a week off? Nights off training or head out for a bite to eat together? Business as usual?

ok fair call legend if i was skirting packs then so must blum as i backed into him a few times and he got me some gd hits, what was nice was in the third when he dropped me high from behind after i had got rid ov the ball and gave us a free down field and allowed lesie to goal! He is a gd player when he plays and doesnt worry about anything else, even his team mates agree with that as a few said during the game sat. I may say what i think but i am not alone with what i say and your the one hiding behind a user name but willing to shoot your mouth off. Get rid of your coach and that will be a big step in going forward, you have already had ferg leave before season start and now mitty has left and dycer has confirmed he is going back to goolwa at seasons end so the river cant be too dry, the bay is looking worse than them from this seat!

basham is good, when the dickhead coach plays him in the right spot. hes a forward, and a good one. if he plays 4 quarters there this week he will prove that. to say that hes only got 7 goals this yr doesnt mean squat. he plays higher up the ground than ellis and pitman and also gets chucked down back when the coach wants to have a rest in a pocket. its like saying roughead is no good because he doesnt kick as many goals as franklin, and he plays at both ends so he should be picked in a rep side as a forward. load of wank.

my tip will be the GSFL to win by plenty and the best player in the comp, SIR mathew hodge to run a muck and make it 2 BOG's in a row.

teamwork, ferg stayed because popey left. plain and simple. once he knew he was going then ferg was always guna stay. our coach might not be perfect but he puts his nuts on the line for the club. he carry's on a bit but so what. so do lots of other blokes around the comp. mitty can go if he wants and chucky can do so as well.

at the end of the day my friend its only bloody football. you would like to think they would stay, but people will play where they want to play, and if they want to leave well there's jack we can do about it. but i hope they dont.

I am not sure how true that is mate, I am mates with Ferg and I never heard him say its due to pope as pope still plays BBall in the same team as Ferg so I would think they are fine with each other.

Don't forget the Sea and Vines at Mclaren Vale this weekend.

The Bocchi Club at the Oval is a good spot for an hour or two with several wineries undercover and has a good band every year.
Keep clear of any Morphett Vale boys as they have history of becoming a bit untidy. (I mean that in the nicest possibe way)
The same can be said about Henno, Azza and Broughts's other half.

Yetti its one of the most anticipated days on the calendar.

The Bocce Club has been the scene of some of my greatest Sea and Vines memories and if we are allowed in we may well get there this Sunday!

You paying the $10 entry fee to D'Arenberg this year BJ?

Yetti, Heno is on my bus this year, I'll keep an eye on him so hopefully he doesn't get arrested like last year!

Back to footy, does anyone have a selected side for the Association game on Saturday?
