Lets hope Mallala get a few more tonight that Balaklava FC got last week to see Doug Hawkins as a guest speaker, I heard that only 6 players turned up to support the club and only 65 showed up in total. 8 of these were from Mallala FC. Hope to see a few Peckers there tonight returning the favour, but lets keep off the Rum lads!

It would be a good night - how come we (me anyway) are only just hearing about it?

My Brother interviewed Stan Alves years ago when he was in charge of the Saints and i saw it later on video, Remarkably Astute man who has a great football mind, should be good.
And how is it that The Maggies are able to secure such talent, I mean Stan Alves is good, but the bloke from "Farmer wants a wife"?? Thats a Showbiz coup. Good on em, probably taking over the mantle from Longies in terms of off the park Entertainment.

Oh, and if you saw the game the other day, theres not much running around matey
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

There appears to be a similarity between Martin Bryant and yourself, he used to drive around with a surf board on his roof, and couldn't surf. Whereas you drive around with a magnet board in your car :D .
So stop stalking FGH by parking your car at the front of his house at night, because we all know that this is breaking your home detention agreement :D .

By the way. how is the nose going this year Duke?

Pretty sure it was in the Barracker or Informer or whatever its called. I think the club was hopeful of filling the room with Mallala crew, hence there has been a bit of hypw about it around the club with 30 odd players attending but maybe your right it prob was kept a little quiet. I'm sure they could squeeze you in jumbo :D

Nothing better than seeing a bit of public in-fighting within an opposition club, reflects well on the club, but surely you blokes could keep your personal issues to yourselves!! Use the PM function and save us all!

I think you could tell me Jumbo :D

For those interested, was a great night. Firstly Stan got involved at training which was a great buzz, certainly could get any team playing for him as coach within no time, inpirational character.
The crowd at training was a pretty good indication the success of the night! I'd say well over 200 meals were served and the place was packed to the brim. Had to squeeze in extra tables which is a nice problem to have! Was great to see a table from BalaklavaFC, a table of Two Wells boys, 2 x tables from FreelingFC and also the Pres and his wife from UnitedFC. Stan Alves = Popular Man!!

Firstly Robert Oatey spoke for about 20 mins and then Alves spoke for close to an hour (??) and he was sensational. I think most people went home pretty impressed with his speech. The cooks dominated on the tongs as per usual!
