footy1992 wrote:so much hype around the Game of the round between willunga and creeks but no reports back yet? What were every bodies thoughts on the game? you would have though willunga would have had it won hitting the lead with about 3 minutes to play but one "un disciplined?" decision from a willunga player to snap the footy around his body outta defense, ending up as a mark 35 m out 45 degree angle, ended up costing a goal and basically as the umpire balled it up from the centre the siren sounded. Hard slog all day great game

Don't know if it was undisciplined, it was a good clearing kick but a Creek bloke (mental blank, can't remember his name) just stuck his mits up instinctively and plucked it out of the air as it flew past his noggin. Slotted it through to give the lead back to the Creeks after they lost it for the first time for the whole game, then the ball went back to the centre and the siren went after the ball up! Doesn't get much closer than that!

Very happy with the win, blokes out for Willunga though including Hams and Genoviese. Mind you the Creek have a few out too, including Footner and Murgatroyd, both handy players also.

Marc Cox you need to have your pen license taken away from you!

Although it is possible that after playing under the Bays coach for 1 game that he's sincerely had enough..... If the rumours are true about him being a tool that is. I cant speak, Im a tool and I've never met the bay coach.

Spot on Vision, ur a tool! ;)

Association training last night was really good! Slippery conditions at Strathalbyn and the boys were very clean and skilled in them. With 24 players out there last night and i believe 5-6 phone calls saying they will be attending Thursday it looks as if for once we will actually have to cut some players to make the final side. That can only be a good thing for Saturdays trip to Mypolonga.

What do clubs get up to when the boys have a week off? Nights off training or head out for a bite to eat together? Business as usual?

I would imagine that most clubs would have their players watching re-runs of Willunga Grand Finals and dress standard of the great Mitch Portlock. I know that what I do.

Any strath boys allowd to play this year....?

I just got emailed a photograph, does anyone know how to edit the damn thing so I can upload it as my avatar?

the larks are heading out for a night at the races to cheer on the big man laffins dogs. should be a good team bonding exercise after a couple of reasonable performances by the boys. Team just cant get settled at the moment with Heath out for 4 after smacking some dude in the head, along with Polst and Hoppo in and out with work in the mines putting in solid performances when playing but just arent there enough.
