Dunstall vs. Quartermain

Postby Gozu » Tue Jun 02, 2009 1:00 am

Twas watching Footy Classified tonight and have to say unless it was staged that on air radio spat between Jason Dunstall and Stephen Quartermain was pretty bad. Quarters was just asking him about the likelihood of Trent Croad getting back this season and Dunstall started to go nuts about his supposedly poor journalism. Dunstall started swearing (saying something like it was bs journalism), Quarters kept demanding he apologise for swearing and then Dunstall tipped/smacked a bowl of food on to Quarters.

I don't mind Dunstall's work on Fox Sports and know he can be a bit short tempered in his role as Hawthorn President but surely that incident was staged?

Definitely not staged.
If Dunstall had left out his scathing attack on Ch 10's sensantionalist journalism, then i might've thought it was staged. Dunstall could be in hot water over his remarks about Ch 10.

Yeah I heard that, it was pretty funny. Although anyone on footy classified is not really in a place to comment about behavour or poor journalism.

Was watching Fox's pre-game show on Friday night and Dunstall was having a crack at another journo over suggestions Cyril Rioli would be worth a million $ as a free agent.
He cracked it over that as well, not quite as entertainingly mind you, claiming "shoddy journalism that was only aimed at stirring the pot".
Seems Mr Dunstall doesn't like to talk about his club during his media commitments.

Caroline Wilson mentioned nothing of his conflict of interest yet brings up Brayshaw every chance she can get??

It has been explained to her that JB is under contract and the conditions will be looked at once his contract finishes yet she continues to bring it up. No different to the years and years we had to endure Eddie McGuire calling Collingwood on Friday night footy.

Yeah I forgot about Kennett but still Dunstall holds some sort of high up title at Hawthorn so not a good look. That joke by Garry Lyon that it wasn't a bowl of food but a bucket was pretty funny though.

Me too, Quartermaine's a knob anyway, where did they find him, in the drawer with the knives & forks.
As for the other "thing' Ms Wilson, I bet she's got p^lls and she's ugly to boot!

Not at all..
Very disappointing and quite honestly at this point will only be making up final 8 numbers.
However, as we all know, with a little bit of form return and a little bit of luck in Sept, we may just find ourselves together again on that last Saturday..
And we all know what can happen to the Cats on that day..
But you would be used of that by now.... ;)
