have had popey umpire both footy and basketball games, hes far and away the best because of what you listed above LF. if only we had more of him.........

Saturdays game at the creek. Very disappointing to not win but what an advertisement for country footy.

The result absolutely justified how good the game was, the attack on the footy and the man was great and the game played in great spirits. Feasty was superb all day, Moore and Follett through the middle were good and Hilly had his moments where he does his freaky things.

Theres no excuses from us on the result, both sides had players missing and the side we put on the park was more than capable of winning, we just didnt produce, had a very poor 2nd quarter but after half time we certainly played some good footy. Matty Thomas again provided a great option at CHF, Haskett was running and carrying very well and Glassy was rock solid down back!

I reckon you learn more from a loss than a win, weve got plenty to work on!!

Richard, who was the lad that took the big hanger down infront of the tents? It was a great grab!!!
I know what your saying about Blummy and part of footy is getting cleaned up but he has a proven history of 'loose' acts he gave us a few handy free kicks in the 3rd qtr when the game was still with in a couple of goals. I dont mind it physical at all but when hits start coming late and high thats not on!!

With out going into too much detail,
Yes Ross was with us and in great form! Crowd was very large and the set up was great, they had 4 tents set up down the southern end fully catered for. We got presented the 'one off' jumpers by 5 past premiership players who all said a small speech before the presentation to the group, followed by a team photo. The last thing before we left the rooms for the ground we had Troy Symonds say a few words, then when we got out I couldn't believe my eyes we had a huge 'guard of people' to run through that included the B grade and all past players and supporters that went from the boundary line almost to the edge of the square both sides of us!! Then during the game the crowd was great and showed great support to us and respect to the bays, when the bays lad took the hanger the crowd loved it!! It was a great day at the ground and and great night to celebrate a special weekend for the Victor footy club.
No player wedding Saturday gents. The side structures up well.

Looking forward to the challenge of the new look hawks. Some great inclusions for them and it was always going to take a little time for them to settle, i reckon they will be red hot and Micky Simmons will have em ready to go.

Magoos tips correct in my book!

Congrats to Sammy Mcgowan who is getting married Sunday! Great work by the great man who is a very underrated player!!!
No Player wedding!!!!! But a few players going to a wedding BJ
Not an Untruth but a little deceptive.
It was good to see young Guitink step up, against quality opposition, (after a couple of quiet weeks) while Hamsy was out Hob Nobbing

Cant let too much out of the bag, i answered the question. 2 players were out due to different weddings Saturday. 3 with injury.

Gooch did step up well, viced some good grabs on a good opponent in Golding! Hes still finding his feet at the club, its a tough environment to crack into but as we found with Bomber Ryan last year once he finds his niche in the side he will continue to improve. I thought his game Saturday was very good and showed hes a very capable player.

This is correct altho at this stage hes staying at West Adelaide. Hopefully he continues to pursue his interests at West Adelaide and gets the rewards for the effort that hes put in down there. If he does decide to give it up then hes more than welcome to have a game with us and will be a handy addition to our side.

Limb any truth that Mods may pull on the boots at the Creek as the season progresses??

I seen it forst hand on sat Panther, you know you have problems when A grade players on the field are saying they dont like the coach at all and then you see players telling him what they are doing and who is doing what!! Most the bay guys are top blokes, they just have a poor figure head to their side at the moment but they are sticking together and will bounce back.

We don't have the space available to accomodate the great man as we've fully allocated our 11 points but I'd be happy to welcome him into the 2's if he wanted to have a kick!

Should have been top 3 best I thought, only thing that lets him down is he wanted to do it all on his own. Found plenty of it but wouldnt give it off!! The bays will be hoping he hangs around

teamwork wrote:It was a big day at the victor oval yesterday and the events of the day seemed to get into our sides game a bit too much for the first half and we played very average, after half time we settled down and played to our plan and played alot better. Was good to get the win infront of the past players and set the party off for the nights events. The bays need to have a good look at what they are doing, the coach is twat and the players I spoke to said they wish he would F off! No one listens to him and it seems like they coach them selves and tell him what they are going to do, Blum was up to his usal tricks and trying to hit people dirty and thinks he is a hero for belting people half his size. Dale Ellis tought him a football lesson, then when Blum went into ruck Sammy J was all over him with ease.

Well done on the win Teamwork and couldn't agree more, Mitchell is a twat. Saw it first hand against Myponga 2 weeks ago where he started the, mellae. I also heard that day many Bay players openly expressing there dislike for him. If they keep him they'll end up in real trouble as local players will start to walk out.

How about you answer all the questions on Encounter bay rather than ask about what music you should have playing!!! ;)
