Ryan didn't play yesteray against Brighton.......Had Ramsey kicked straight probably would of finished with 8 himself so although probably not as good as Ryan a fair replacement, yesterday anyway........ As for this week unsure on Ryan but he didn't seem to bad yesterday when i saw him walking around etc Cove looked really good in the first half there midfield was real pacy and skilful and there tall forwards weidemann, ramsey and another tall guy that had some class and pace about him across half forward were catching everything.....After half time the midfield run seemed to of stopped.......but i give them a real chance against reynella, especially on the big porties oval.
I also think valley could cause morphies some problems with there pace and height forward......but i think the week off would of helped the emus and they should get up in a thriller.

Cant see Morphett Vale losing but Valley will push them .....Reynella by 5 goals to set up a Grand Final re-match against the traditional arch rivals.

In a follow up to the blackwood b grade getting disqualified from hills finals cause of unqualified players, today happy valley 18's got kicked out for playing 1 unqualified player in their qual final win against brighton. The leagues decsion is valley out flaggy play cove in only 1 prelim and brighton go straight through to the GF. Do u think this is fair?

petoe,

Also heard a similar thing that when Noarlunga played Cove in the u\16's Cove played an unregistered or unqualified player, but by the time they found out to take it to the league it was to late.

I think it is unfair, the team that Vally's beat in the final should get to play in the prelim in their place.

Have they had the SFL Mail Medal count yet?

Could 'The Indian' win his third medal and his first in the SFL or will it be the State Country rover in Vick?

Any other predictions...

Medal count is this monday night ......6 invitees are

Vick - Cove
Banyer - Marion
Harris - Lions
Bachmann - Saints
Manhood - Porties
Hill - Emus

Vick would be fav as the umps seem to look after him and he does kick brilliant goals.

Reynella first one into Grand Final with a very comfortable win over Cove
Ryan did play Milo kicked 6 or 7 and Ramsey was good for Cove

Its a pity the game today was down at Porties, if it was at Reynella or somewhere closer I would have gone.
Keep the reports coming, be interested in the result tomorrow down at Bice Oval, the ground where I kicked my only career goal in 50 games for the Shoes C grade!

Was a massive f*#k up before they finally gave the medal to bachman. Vick got 3 votes in the final card read out for the night and everyone assumed he was the winner on 21, Because Bachman was on 19 at that stage and looked like he had come 3rd. Then they had to check all the cards again because the officials knew Bachmann was meant to win.
They had found during the night a best on ground vote ( 3 ) was wrongly added to his brothers tally, S.Bachman. After they fixed the stuff up A. Bachman moved to 22, one ahead of Vick.
What an absolute shambles, How can that possibly happen???

WHAT A JOKE

Postby hacksville » Wed Sep 20, 2006 9:14 am

Jeez the southern leaugue committee is a shambles ..... the Messenger has reported Josh Vick as the winner after obviously getting the info from the league. Also heard that Bachmann didn't get to keep his medal as Vick's name was engraved on the back. Get with it Southern league, you are continually bringing your own league into disrepute with your disorganisation and your backward thinking. Behind the div 1 amatuers you have the strongest league in s.a but ive seen better organised chook raffles !!!

Josh vick is a gun, can not believe he didnt win it by a street. lot of good players but bachmann wouldnt be the best player in southern footy. very quick tho, and tall but played for mclaren last yr and didnt set the world on fire.
disappointing way to lose a medal, by hearing youve won it only to lose it, heard that scenario has happened before in southern aswell
