Will be very interested in peoples' thoughts on the game. Going on the scoreboard it was a defensive slog for 3 quarters and I was getting a bit worried early in the last when the Legs were doing most of the scoring. But Sturt just blitzed from the 10 min mark in the last quarter and piled on 7 goals for the quarter. Good to see that all the talls up forward got amoungst the goals tonight...Herring, Chambers, Button & Johncock...a little extra percentage :D

If Wedgie thinks the standard of SANFL has dropped this year then the Umpires have gone backwards at a greater rate of knots than the players. They were terrible all night

I'm certainly not going to get excited by that win. Norwood were dismal in their attack on the ball and their skills were woeful. I have to say though that I thought Sturt didn't look all that much sharper in the first half particularly. Happy to get the two points but it's not a game I'll remember as an example of good footy...

Great game by Sheedy and others had some good bursts (eg.Button, McGlone, Martin). Chambo was well held and clearly frustrated, though in his defence, delivery to him was poor. Our defence as usual had the better of their opponents. Special mention to Tristan Gum for what I'd say was goal of the year thus far...

Bloody ordinary umpiring.

One of the worst games of footy I've ever seen, played in freezing temperatures.

Norwood were pathetic, Sturt just as bad really but had a bit more class at times to always remain in front.

Average game to watch nearly fell asleep in my Johnny Walker..... Agreed Sturt played average but did enough to get over the line!!!!

Chambers wasnt un disciplined tonight for once but that maggot blonde umpire at the grandstand end in the 2nd/3rd was a blatant CHEAT... Tony Day was ok but they standard of umpiring did not help a tough slog of a game

Well done to the blues to get the points

Umpires were DISGRACEFUL!! Will be very interested to see the free kick count! You could tell sturt were getting a bit frustrated but slogged it out and did enough for a good win.

Wish it was telecated just so I could try to work out some of the umpiring "interpretations". Disgraceful and it got worse as the night went on. Uninspiring game, alot reminded me of the last 1/4 of the South game previous round. Scotty McGlone was far and away best on ground all night.

It's not the "firing up" that is the main problem. Hill never learns. He just hangs in there with this ridiculous structure that just frustrates our players, and makes the opposition's job one helluva lot easier.

well said.
Even Tonite in the last qtr when had a mini roll on. He decides to take Big Doyle off for a rest. Clearly our best ruckmen. Why wouldnt you keep him on for 5 more minutes. Pretty sure he wasnt injured cos he sprinted off the ground. Also playin Jericho on the wing in the first half. He was the only bloke who looked like kicking a goal

I'm just trying to imagine how, after watching tonight's game, anyone would get excited enough to bash anyone. The first half tonight was draining.
