Close....but for his sake not close enough unfortunately.
His games prior to going with the crows as the travelling emergency were excellent, since having a week without a game his form really dropped off, hopefully a good game in the twos will see him back in the league side next week.

Lets all face it, Jacky is rubbish. He was rubbish last year and although I will acknowledge that he was ok at the start of the season he has fallen back into his ways of last year. This bloke will be delisted at the end of the year, surely everyone realises that?

This team looks good as far as I am concerned. Banner is going to be a good player and good to see Fitzy back. Passador back also in the ressies! I'll have to get there for the early game now!

Centrals should win but the Eagles are definitely worth a bet at the $3.50 currently on offer.

JJ certaianly seemed to struggle last year but his early form with us was good and think he deserved an opportunity with the Crows, would certainaly be a kick in the guts to be playing well get the call and hop on the plane only to sit in the stand and watch and miss a week of footy. I hope he doesn't end up like David Gallagher or Fergus Watts, good contributors in the local comp but struggled when they got the opportunity at the next level.
Trust the process.

put in Passador, Salter , Cheep, Powell, Redden and a firing Jacky into the named League side and its looks very strong.......

Centrals side looks good too though....should be a great game......

This must be a different David Gallagher than the one i remember. He used to run that wide of the play that he should have paid his $8 admission like the rest of the spectators did back then. Useless at any level and another James Fantasia special! Its amazing how the quality of the kids in the crows squad has dramatically improved since he buggered off. Im a bit surprised at some of the criticism of Jacky though, because he seems to have a little bit of that x-factor about him. He might actually fare better in the AFL than the physically tougher SANFL? 8)

Looking forward to the return of Hayes for the dogs this week, IMO the best tackler in the comp. Its always one of the more enjoyable moments of a match for me, when someone tries to break one of his tackles and gets driven into the turf. Something tells me the Eagles are going to win this week though, i dont know what it is but i just dont feel confident. Maybe its the memories of the trip to Woodville last year...........

Probably worth a lazy few bucks if that's where the gut instincts point. Mind you, I thought the same when West (v Eagles) were at $4 (1-39) a fortnight ago. D'oh! #-o

Reckon the Eagles will improve, but not by enough.

Dogs by four or five goals.

I have a feeling Switala and L. Westhoff maned in the 2s is an indication that both Symes and M. Westhoff will play.

Good to see Hayes back. Hardy, Hayes and Sibenaler as our 3 key talls down back would be nice, if only we can get them all on the park at the same time!

Down the track when J. Westhoff returns, he may come back through the SANFL we might have a very small chance to play all 3 Westhoffs in the same team. I dare say they've never all had the chance to play in the same side so would it be tempting for Roy to pick them all? As we know, Leigh is a bit of a borderline call as it stands. It may come down to whether the small advantage on the day of going with someone who is just 1% ahead of Leigh is outweighed by any long term benefit of having them have that thrill of playing together. Perhaps also with Leigh being the eldest might spur him to greater things having to show the kids how it's done.

They just said on the KG & The General Show that Adelaide have finalised their 22 and Brent Rielly will be the one to miss out and is named as first emergency so I assume he will be withheld from playing in the SANFL with Sturt tonight.

I don't think so Centurion - you may win but by no more than about 5 goals. I expect a much improved effort this week from my Eagles with macca and cica back.

Disagree with you there matt1. His early season form suggested he was ready to take the next step. He's just in a bit of a slump. Deservedly omitted and with a couple of decent games in the 2's should rightfuly regain his spot in the league. JJ at his best is a delight to watch and is a best 21 player at the Eagles.

i know the dogs will win but not by that much I hope .
I was at Elizabeth in round 1 when we pushed the dogs .
I was at city Mazda stadium when we could not beat West.
I hope Ron and co studied the Norwood centrals game as that gives all and sundry the clue on beating the dogs.

I would love to see a much improved Eagles team at oval ave today .

yes mickyj there is hope ;)
