I just got back from the Victor Hotel & heard an interesting rumour that man Marc Cox looks like an out for Encounter Bay this week-end, infact you might not see him there again in 2009.
Can you believe that?

It used to be done. Back in 1998, 1999 there was to be a league budget called "Fleurieu Footy" that was quite good. It had every team listed from minis through to A's, previous weeks results, premiership tables and a club corner. I was flicking through a couple of issues tonight some classic stuff. Interesting to go back and see how things have changed. In one particular round Myponga beat Willunga in both A's and B's (WOW 5th best), Yank beat Compass by 98 points and Bays beat Goolwa by 121 points. A few results that are unlikely 10 years on!

Magoos tips for the week
1. Honesty is the Best policy
2. You play better football if you go out on the turps Friday night rather than Thursday night.
3. If you want a kick, you have to go and get the football. A Football has no brains. It will not come to you.
4. Never reply to a female who asks, "Does my bum look big in this?" You lose!! There is no correct answer.
5. Always pat your dog when you come home. No matter what time, or in what state, your dog IS ALWAYS pleased to see you
6. Tell the next female you see today, Your hair looks nice today.

Winners for tomorrow
Strathalbyn to beat Myponga/Sellicks in a close one
Willunga in the match of the round to come from behind to beat Langhornes
Goolwa/ Pt Elliott , only just against McLaren
Victor easily against an improving Encounter Bay
Compass will win against Yankalilla

Mudlarks to upset Strath
Creek at home over willunga (it could happen, couldn't it?)
Goolwa at home
Victor too good for bays
Compass easily over yank

Some tips for the week..

Strath will bounce back and leave pongy flat footed
Creek will get over Willunga (if this wedding is true) by winning the contested hard ball
Goolwa this is a big danger game for Goolwa and the home crowd will make them lift
Victor over the bays on a big day for the club
Compass I am yet to see Yank but Compass should get the win with room to breath
Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships

No player wedding Saturday gents. The side structures up well.

Looking forward to the challenge of the new look hawks. Some great inclusions for them and it was always going to take a little time for them to settle, i reckon they will be red hot and Micky Simmons will have em ready to go.

Magoos tips correct in my book!

Congrats to Sammy Mcgowan who is getting married Sunday! Great work by the great man who is a very underrated player!!!

the reason signman is quiet is because lately hes actually been around the club a bit and has realised all the stuff he was reporting early this year was complete rubbish. hence his dissapearing act. he was told he was wrong about alot of things, he is now having to eat some humble pie.

as a bay man im looking forward to the game this week at victor, dont rate our chances of beating their very good outfit but will be looking forward to the festivities. should be a good weekend had by all even if we dont get the result we want. but jeeezzzzz would be nice to knock them off tomorrow

[Good luck to the big fella, he could use an even break. How good does the proposed multi function clubrooms look, the artists impression are in this weeks times. Would be a huge effort to get it up and running with estimated costs of 6.5 mill. Another game that should be a beauty this weekend is the mudlark stath senior colt clash. For the first time in many years myponga have a strong seniors that should be right up there come september.

Maggies lost! Wasn't at the game myself, but reports throughout the day had McLaren up 5.2 - 2.2 at 1/4 time, Maggies in front 5 minutes into the third 13.5 - 9.5. From there i understand McLaren ran over the top of GPE to get up by about 5 goals.

Details may be a little wrong, but that is my reports from throughout the day :)
