It's the ABC TV game with no radio broadcast.

However Phil Aspinall will do live updates pregame and at the end of each quarter on 107.9 LIFE FM (web www.life.on.net )

My heart says Eagles but logic says Central - a lot will come down to the Eagles side that runs out on the park. A fit Cica with his toughness and experience will go a long way towards an upset.

big bonus if we get Petrenko back....

however we may lose Broadbent or Stewart to the Power......

Broadbent must be close to a call up.....

Passador has said he will be back this week if all goes well at training.....

Cicca and Symonds must come back in....

Eagles can turn this around........Eagles by 4 goals

Surely we couldn't play as badly as we have in the past two games???? Choose a well balanced side with the experience of Mc Kenzie and Cicca back in and we'll give it a fair nudge. Petrenko will be a huge bonus.

Would expect James Rimmington to be pushing for a spot in the ones this week, played very well in the twos against Westies, won alot of hard ball and used it very well.
Trust the process.

Agreed on Petrenko he would be a very handy addition though I think if passa is fit they will run him through the 2's this week - afterall he hasn't played a game at all this season so he will be very short on match fitness.

Just as I expected Passador has been named in the 2's. Some very handy inclusions in the league side: McKenzie, Cicolella, Petrenko & Rimmington. Also good to see Banner & Fitzgerald get their first league game of season 2009. For mine Daniel & Schulz needs to be omitted from that squad.

A couple of interesting selections and non selections with Slade named so perhaps there was no issue with the hamstring. No Matthew Westhoff either meaning he is likely to play for the Power but we know anything can change netween now and Saturday afternoon.

Interesting that Switala and L.Westhoff are both named in the league and reserves 21 and of course Daniel Havelberg not named means his hamstring isn't quite ready yet. Good to see both Andrew Hayes and Ian Callinan named back in the side as well.

I'd like to have seen Cheep selected in the League side. The best chance of any Eagles team on Saturday is the Reserves - 10 players with League experience in there.

Very interesting that Switala and L.Westoff are named in both the league side and the reserves side.

Is there a chance that M.Westoff and B.Symes both may drop back into the Central league side. They are both named on an extended bench for their respective AFL clubs.

Centrals very rarely name players in both the league and reserves.

That Eagles team looks much better. Glad to see no Paul Thomas and Elijah Ware in the opposition. The usual suspects of Slade, Schell, Chris Gowans etc. are still there though. Also from the little bits I've seen of Central this year, Sansbury looks a handy player.

As usual the Eagles will need to play 4 quarters of relentless tough footy to stay with the Dogs and when scoring opportunities come we'll need to nail them. Some experience back in the side will help.

We will need a big input from Hill and Miles. Griffin is a dangerous proposition in the ruck and Dabrowski will need some help. Can't afford to have Griffin dominating and kicking goals.

If Hill does play CHF as named, he'll need to work his butt off as Central often clog up half back and use it as a springboard to firstly shut out the opposition and then attack. If he can play a similar role to how he played against North when at CHF on White, that will do. Hill and Grocke need to at least bring the ball to ground to let Fitzgerald/Symmons/Cicolella to create opportunities from crumbs.

Will be looking for a big game from Luke Jarrad. His opposition number often hurts us so he'll need to make sure he puts himself in positions to hurt the opposition as well. When on song, he is one of our most important players and he needs to step up if the side are to have a chance.

The Eagles need to show something this week. Anything less than 100% effort (win, lose or draw) and it will be danger signs at Oval Ave.

He's still a way to go to be considered for the Crows IMO. Has shown some very good signs this year, but needs to show some consistency. Granted that's very hard to do as a small forward. Hopefully he is back in the league side soon.

Close....but for his sake not close enough unfortunately.
His games prior to going with the crows as the travelling emergency were excellent, since having a week without a game his form really dropped off, hopefully a good game in the twos will see him back in the league side next week.
Trust the process.
