so what you are sayin is everybody agrees he is a trophy hunter

No point opening this can of worms for the 20th time yes he is a sand bagger but his friends play in 7res and as soon as you say anything about it the Adel uni blokes on here just come on say the same sh#t as they normally do.

I still dont see what the problem is with him wanting to play with his mates. He still helps out the club sometimes by playing 2 games or 1 and a half like on the weekend.
Thats what im talkin aboooouuuut!!!!!!

I think you will find a few people on here don't like Wes because of things he has done on and off the field. If my memory serves me right...
Last year he was watching a st.pauls vs uni reserves game (he was playing their c's this day)
He and his mate came onto the field when a scuffle started and threw a few punches. Not good!
Also had the pleasure or should I say unpleasure of meeting him prior to the medal count last year and he didn't really hold back telling you how good he was either!

gee guys if i played mini league (circa 1987) id win medal after medal myself. if riccutio played at p.a.c 10 years ago hed be the most sucessful saafl player of all time. but if wes (who i know) wants to be in the advertiser and recieve credit for his accomplishments then he has to take the shit dished out for not stepping up and helping uni stay in div 1. a decent guy with real talent. very stereo typical of the adel uni psyche. WIN THIS, WIN THAT, SIT IN YOUR OWN GLORY BOX, LIKE A BIG FAT CAT. 8 teams and your not in div 1 anymore. that should be more important than a blutty div 7 res medal; should be but clearly was not. an btw he is not alone there. boy oh boy you div 7 boys are controversial. i love it...

Mate at the end of the day it is AMATEUR football, whether you play DIV 1 or DIV 7R you are still an AMATEUR. As long as you are playing for the right reasons e.g. with your mates, no one is in a position to bag you. I'd much rather be playing in DIV7R with 4 or 5 of my best mates than playing DIV1 for $300 a game with a bunch of guys who think their shit doesn't stink cause they played a couple of league/reserves games!

Totally agree, play where and with who you want and for your own reasons, for me the issue is their cheating club umpire always giving him the votes. Yes some games he deserves them and has played well but have also seen him toweled up and kept quiet but still get the votes which just makes a joke of the association medal and creates all this agro against him.

Any recruits in the pipeline for teams, the cut off date is looming? I know we may get back one of our players who went to the APFL to play with Hummocks for the last couple of years, would be a handy addition if he does.

Yeah he played in both games....played quite well in the div 7 res (would of got votes) then strolled out for the div 7 team in a back pocket, only played 2 quarters and left at half time...didn't look to enthused playing in that team, either that or wasn't happy playing on Novosel :D

OK a few points about this...
1. He had a prior commitment and could only ever play C’s for a half, this was understood and accepted
2. He was absolutely knackered after 7R game, very tough game, tagged and had no energy left, wasn’t that he was disinterested just exhausted
3. He was on Novosel for half of 2nd quarter, and Novosel only got 1 touch (goal) in this time, but that was from a free down the ground out of Wes' control

Just giving my opinion from how it looked from an outsiders point of view......Legrand is a great player, very smooth mover and if he wants to play with his mates in div 7R so be it if you want to get fed up with anyone from that side have a go at their umpire, bloke is a deadset cheat! Also gave our B grade captain what for when he went and spoke to him at one of the breaks.

P.s MW if you knew Legrand could only play a half why not bring up someone who could play and stay for the 4 quarters? left you a bit light on for a bench in the 2nd half?

Wes will be 35 later this year. Local footy is all about playing with your mates and enjoying it. In my opinion the 17-25 year olds should be pushing to play as high a level as they can but after that it's all about winning flags with your mates - whatever div/sport that may be.

Possibly a couple of very notable inclusions for the blacks this week. One in particular has looked very good on the track for a couple weeks now ;)

Agree, but he has been playing in D7R for well over 10 years, so when he was the around 25 why wasn't he pushing for higher grades?

Saints play the Raiders...game of the round in div 7.

Riddler whats my chances of getting a clearance for a week and being able 2 pull on my #32 Black and Gold jumper, lacing up the boots and having a kick ;)

Always a good game playing the Raiders, this is one game im pissed i dont get 2 see or play in. Its been a few years so it should be a good reunion.

Riddler dont forget to give the jacket a twirl over the head for me if the saints win

Look I think we really have had enough of the whole "Trophy Hunting" scenario so we can just drop it.

By the way, how is Henley going at the moment? ;)
